5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, definitive and superb, 3 April 2010
It is hard to praise this book highly enough, detailed scientific fact is beautifully combined with stunning photography in an entirely engaging and meticulous fashion. For anyone wishing to travel to the Galapagos this is a must-have, and for arm-chair adventurers this gives all the necessary thrills through the eyes of the skilled and intrepid scientists.

1.0 out of 5 stars old fashioned course, not very good, 1 Sept. 2008
Very disappointed in this course, some of the recordings sound so old and scratchy they could have been made in the 1950's- Also lesson 18 is in turkish rather than kiswahili which threw me a bit. Presentation in the book is poor, pages look typewritten and old-fashioned and the course is not easy to follow. The only benefit I felt was in exposure to the language through listening to the cd's but as I said these are not very high quality and are very dated.
