5.0 out of 5 stars It Works, Superbly, 16 Jun. 2015

It works and no nonsense. This little gadget is the solution when you wish to use a headset and you only have an integrated sound card as part of your motherboard. No need for a separate audio card or an excellent low cost alternative to replacing a faulty audio card [avoid ASUS DGX; when they go faulty there is no support from ASUS] Simply plug in the adaptor, put in your 2 headset jacks, select in the sound controls menu and that's it. No drivers to worry about, no configuring needed; out of the packet, into your PC and off you go. I can see it may cause a little problem using on a laptop or notebook where usb ports are few and quite close together; the adaptor is quite chunky and could prevent use of another nearby USB port. No problems what-so-ever on PC where you generally have many USB ports available in different locations. It's a joy to have something that does what is says straight from the packet.

2.0 out of 5 stars bad sizing;, 19 May 2014

well made, and i suppose they do what they are meant to do ... if you can get them on. I am no giant but I thought i'd order extra-large size, but sadly the extra-large are 'small' .. very small .. my mother [a slip of a woman] now owns these.

3.0 out of 5 stars there's good profit in these;, 19 May 2014

2 pieces of shiny hard plastic & an inadequate screw; not that assembly instruction are required but I did have a problem. The screw is probably about 1/4 inch [old galvanised type] and is not capable of doing the job. Apart from the fact that it is too short, it also just drills out more plastic and the hole grows bigger! I was in two minds whether to send it back to Hong Kong or not, though after waiting 2 full weeks, i decided to get out the superglue and see if i could do an acceptable assembly. So far so good; it does hold up. fair dues, it does look good but I think you might be better off with a £2.99 mug-tree from B&M bargains [also holds your camera usb etc.]

4.0 out of 5 stars Seeing is believing, 4 Oct. 2013

to date, this is the best graphics card i have bought. It's a step up from my last one, GTX660 golden sample, and i can see the difference it has made in the quality of games display, in normal display and also 3D gaming. It's a joy to have all the settings cranked up to very high. This card copes extremely well with multiple applications running on multiple monitors. Pricey but worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great case, 4 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is a great case, sleek & classy with all the right buttons & ports in the right places. It is quite spacious but I found that the fitting of a GTX770 graphics card was quite tight especially if you fit a fan in the adjustable position in the centre of the case. The accompanying diagrams were extremely useful and accurate but there was no mention of 3 extra fan cables or a molex .. which threw me a while as i didnt know what they were for. If you are intending to use SSD in your build then there is no need to purchase a caddy and they are catered for within the drive bay housing. The case has ample positions for many extra fans, top bottom, front & back. The left side of the case has a half-window so you can admire your handy work. There are good channels for cable management although the gromits/gaskets are a bit fiddley to put back if you happen to dislodge them. The only slight issue i have is the front door [to the drive bays] needs a fine adjustment when trying to click shut .. you'll soon find the knack. I nearly sent mine back without even opening it .. the box depicts a white case when i ordered black .. i'm guessing the box is standard whatever colour you buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really cool, 4 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is the first time I have ever used one of these in my computer builds and I'm delighted with the results. It looks harder to install than it actually is .. and you do have the choice on where you can position the fans .. either as intake or exhaust. The unit comes with 2 fans and you have a choice on how to utilise them. The software gives you complete control over fan speed, noise and efficiency. Normal operation results in very little noise, maximum rev is not much louder. the are not cheap but I do feel i've gotten value for money. Please bear in mind, than you do need a little extra room within your case and your cable management needs a little forward planning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just the job, 4 Oct. 2013

I'm very happy with this middle of the range model, it does all i need a Blu-ray player to do ... play Blu-rays & 3D Blu-rays on my SMART TV. It's compact, stylish and weighs very little. The remote seems a bit large and there seems to be far too many buttons, i'm still finding out what they all do. The unit also has 1 USB port on the front ... I'm not certain what use that has .. perhaps to play video content from a USB memory stick.

4.0 out of 5 stars Necessary but a rip-off?, 4 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
why necessary? well, if you wish to view blu-ray on your PC with windows 8, you'll need this. Windows 8 no longer provide a media centre as part of the Windows 8 home premium version, thus forcing you to buy the software separately. This software does all you need and more but it does carry a hefty price tag just to be able to view over-priced blu-ray movies. I need it, i like it, i didnt like the price. [in saying that, you'll find it much cheaper here than you will straight from Cyberlink]

1.0 out of 5 stars Magic? I made mine disappear ;), 4 Oct. 2013

So, you buy the latest new smart TV and you want the latest and smartest controller, & why not? it sounds like a brilliant device.

Well mine lasted less than a day before it was put on 'The Bay of E' to recoup some of the expense of my folly. We have no real compliments what-so-ever for this grossly over-priced, innovative but useless gadget. Okay, so it's small & compact, looks good and doesn't weigh too much but the practicality of it's unique selling points is nil.

I'll will start by saying that it will change channels and volume levels in the traditional way by pressing up/down buttons. It does have a mouse type pointer and scroll wheel for operating on-screen keyboard and selecting internet functions ... but 'voice control' is erratic and i'd say only 40-50% successful .. how it copes with different accents i can't say but I can imagine. Change channels by pointing the controller at the TV and by drawing the numbers in the air!!!! ... this is comical and no where as easy as you might think; how many attempts will you need to go to channel 453? it could be dozens, 111 or 333 is not that easy either. Believe me when i tell you it is by far near impossible to get the right channel [if any] at the first attempt. Personally i found a traditional remote very fast and 100% successful time & time again. At around £45-£50 it's not even worth it for the 'novelty factor' If you do decide to buy it, keep the box ... chances are you'll be selling it shortly.
