This review is from: Midsummer Madness (Kindle Edition)
Thoroughly enjoyable read, even if twelfth night is not a Shakespeare play I'm familiar with. Really brought to life the dark corners of the theatre with a lead character you couldn't help but cheer for. Warm hearted and delightfully entertaining.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow to start, but encapsulating, 3 Sept. 2012

Found the first few chapters hard to get into because of the number of characters at first and the time jumps, but pushing past this the book is engrossing, deep and wonderful to be a part of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully visual fun read, 21 Aug. 2012

Even as an adult reader I appreciated the descriptive skills used to bring Victorian London to life, especially beautiful descriptions of museums and details. A fun quick read with a fresh storyline - could easily see this as an enjoyable film in the future

Don't usually review, especially negatively, but would have to agree with an earlier reviewer.

This book is awfully written - at points almost incomprehensible. I also got the opinion that the writer is really closed minded about sex, doggedly pushing the fact that his lifestyle is straight and totally vanilla - it seemed quite hypocritical for someone who is 'live and let live'.

If someone is that closed minded to experimenting with anything sexually why should anyone take his advice?

What the reader believes are shocking and hilarious stories actually don't meet the hype and just support the fact of how little he really knows.

Disappointed.
