Excellent book, super pictures, another good Jaguar book from Philip Porter. Well recommended for the Jaguar enthusiast to add to their library.

Excellent quality, right size for our cat. So far she has kept well away from it despite putting one of her cushion's inside. Hopefully she will find more use for it in the winter!

Well made and very well wrapped to avoid any damage on delivery. Whilst the 12" ring only has 18" legs, it is a pity that the manufacturer doesn't also provide longer legs to allow for growth of plant. To get longer leg supports, you have to buy a larger ring set of 16" X 5, which I don't need. Please get manufacturer to provide different leg length's for various size plant support rings.

Excellent book as usual with superb photography from Schlegelmilch over the years in subject. Nice to go back in time to see what real sports car racing was all about.

Elephant purchased for grandson who thinks it is marvellous. He takes it everywhere with him, and now does not need to take his grandmother's own blue elephant home with him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Architectural petrolheads., 21 Jan. 2013

This book combines my love of the car along with another favourite, architecture. Surprising how far the garage, car saleroom goes back, and it is great to see that a fair proportion of the early buildings are still in existence with preservation orders to protect them. This large volume might be classed as a coffee table book, to be dipped into again and again with many areas of the motor industry covered. The central theme is the car, with manufacturing, sales, maintenance, filling up, parking, scrapping,
driving around the country, hospitality, traffic in towns, and all the attendant buildings or site's involved.
The text is very informative, and photography, both old picture's in black and white together with modern colour is very good. We probably take for granted the modern filling station or service centre, but it great to understand how these have evolved over the last century +. Excellent book.
