I bought this fitness tracker because I wanted a heart ratemonitor as well as a pedometer at the right price.
This replaces another fitness band that sells at the same price but without the heart rate monitor so my review is based on a direct comparison.
The Gosund Fitness Tracker C6 Smart Wristband Bluetooth4.0 Heart Rate Monitor Call SMS Reminder IP65 Waterproof Mini Band with OLED Screen (BLACK)
arrived in a small cardboard box containing the watch band, charger and an instruction pamphlet. On unpacking I put the band on charge, to do this you need to pop the unit out of the band (this is easy to do) and insert the unit into the charger, ensuring that the contacts are properly aligned. It took about half an hour to fully charge which was the same charge time as my old band.
The instructions are a little hard to follow because of the pidgeon-english, obviously written by a non english speaker, but the it is fairly easy to learn the functions.
There are 2 QR codes on the pamphlet with download links for the phone app, one for android phones and another for iphones.
After downloading the app I found pairing my phone was quick and straight forward.
Setting up the app was straight forward and pretty much self explanatory.
The app starts up in a basic screen with 3 pages each page is accessible by swiping the screen, step counter, sleep monitor and heart rate monitor.
By touching the big white circle on each page you access the statistic pages showing stats by day, week or month.
The heart rate monitor does have a "begin detect" button which will start the bands heart rate monitor function and keep detecting till you stop it either on the app or on the wrist band.
The app settings set the measurements can be set in either english miles or metric km.
The wrist band time function is set to the time on the paired phone.
The wrist band functions.
The wrist band is easy to use, there is a raised dot on one side of the screen, this is the touch sensitive button, press once to change functions.
the functions are
time, this also shows whether you are connected by bluetooth and the battery status,
heart rate monitor (the last monitored count).
To start the heart rate monitor from the wrist band you just navigate the band to the heart rate monitor function and press the raised dot for a few seconds to start the monitor, let the monitor work for a minute or two then press the dot for a few seconds again to stop monitoring, easy.
You can turn off the wrist band at night by pressing the dot when in time mode for a few seconds then again on the on\off screen to highlight OFF then press again to turn it off,
turn it on again with a long press of the dot.
This wrist band will vibrate when you get a phone call or message on your phone.
It has a "Lost function", setting in the phone app that will play a tune on your phone if the wrist band moves out of range and a find band setting that will vibrate on your wrist band when pressed.
I have been using my wrist band for 4 days and the battery status bar has gone down by about 25% so the battery will keep going for some time.
The pedometer and heart rate functions are quite accurate, although the step counter does seem to lag a little with a slight delay sometimes between taking a few steps to them showing on the band but this is not a big problem for me as it still gives a good indication of my steps and distance walked.
This band is as good as the more expensive models with much the same functions but at a fraction of the price I would definately recommend this fitness tracker wrist band for its price, ease of use and setting up and accuracy.
I received this wrist band at a discounted price in return for an honest and unbiased review, this review is based on my own experience with the wrist band over the last 4 days.
