1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage game produced by lazy game developers, 28 May 2016
I had the unfortunate opportunity to play this game and to say is one of the worst games of this generation is a fair assessment . Were to begin well you could tell in the first 10 minutes of the game that this was a dialled in and lazy effort bythe game devs . Why you may ask? In the first cutscene of the game ( the first cutscene for christ's sake) the voices don't even sync up with the movement of the mouths and this isn't a one time glitch it happens throughout the game . Then you start playing the game and i was thinking ''WTF is this'' the graphics are like an early ps3 game and to top it off the frame rate is the worst i've ever played . The game looks bad and boy oh boy it plays even worst i'm more than confident this game gets nowhere near 30 FPS and goes well below 20 for combat and motorcycle portions of the game. You ride a motorcycle or when alot of stuff is going on in the game ( i.e combat the main gameplay of the game) the frame rate chugs along and sometimes the game just freezes . This is why the game is unplayable your fighting the norks (what this game calls north koreans) and you'll be aiming lining up a shot and then the frame rate will enter the toilet and the game will either jump cut , shake about or it will simply just freeze, I mean what the hell is this. Don't get me started on it taking 15 seconds to switch heavy weapons in this game , alot of the missions in this game are timed too so you can imagine the problems.

So whats my evidence for calling dambusters lazy game developers its a bold claim right? Well there is tons of evidence starting with this: Deep silver 14 months ago saw this game and said ''We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this''. Deep silver no doubt saw homefront the revolution in march 2015 and saw the game was the mess we are all buying and playing now an unpolished ,unplayable , lazy and generic game. So what the hell did the game devs do for 14 months it clearly wasn't work on this game , they just turned up and collected their money for 14 months. This team didn't even test the game if they did they would of seen the voices didn't sync up with the mouth movements , the frame rate makes combat impossible and the graphics are trash. They only made about 3 or 4 models and just copy and pasted them into the game so you will see exact same characters sometimes standing next to each other they couldn't even put the 4 revolving characters in different parts of the game. It kind of pulls you out of the immersion when the characters you meet are all like clones. They lifted alot of the gameplay from far cry 3 they just blantantly copied it but the only problem is that game came out 4 years ago and not only did they copy it they copied it and it somehow plays even worse . So they couldn't even reproduce gameplay from a game that came out 4 years ago what an absolute joke . And all this could be yours for a full retail price of 40 pounds I mean who would pay that for this game you would have to be a absoloute psycho who liked wasting money.

This is Dambuster Studios first game so alot of people may think I should cut them some slack but this isn't bad because of lack of money (seen indie games with much lower budget better than this) or because they didn't have enough time to finish it (Deep silver gave them an extra 14 months), it's because their lazy and I hope its the last game they make and they don't ruin another franchise or rip off someone else with another garbage product.

Homefront as a franchise is now ruined, this will no doubt be the last homefront , which is a shame as THQ introduced this nicely and it had alot of potential as a franchise.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is a cash grab before Activision loses the licence in a few months , AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS GAME IS TERRIBLE!!, 3 Oct. 2015
If there is a game in 2015 that is the epitome of a cash grab and cashing in on its name then it's this one .

IF you pay full price for this game you will instantly regret it even if you love skate boarding and previous pro skater titles. Were to begin well we can begin with 1 hours worth of patches (and i have fibre optic ) Your looking at a few hours with broadband . If you can believe it the patch is larger than the game and takes up 7GB of your xbox one hard drive, your basically downloading 66% of the game . Then if you're lucky enough to actually get into the game (crashing on the activision title screen) the graphics hit you and not in a good way , i mean they're like a weird hybrid of cel shaded and normal graphics . To give you the perfect example i would expect these graphics if i downloaded a free to play Tony hawk skater game on my ipad etc and you pay for certain things in the game like a freemium model sorta thing but this is a full price game!! Expecting HD highly detailed skaters ? Well you won't find them in this game in fact nothing in this game is highly detailed or in HD in fact everything is dull even the most brightest colours just look washed out . Remember pro skater 2 and 3 the brightness and colourfulness of those games well you won't be finding that here . The music is uninspired too its not bad but some of the songs feel completely out of place in a skating game.

So maybe you're saying by now its not how it looks what about the way it plays right? Well yea about that. It plays as worse as it looks , the levels are generic the missions are repetitive and there is zero story or campaign. Yes i know the games before it didn't have a story or campaign but the last pro skater game was nearly 13 years ago how about some innovation or taking pro skater to the next level ,after all this is the first pro skater game on the next gen . You could tell after 30 mins of playing this game there has been zero effort put into it and we haven't even got to the worst part yet THE GLITCHES !!! This game is full of them (even after the 7GB patch) Tony or whatever skater you decide to use (lil wayne?? WTF) will be launched into the air like a rocket has just been inserted somewhere when you clearly landed correctly or the spill was tiny. You will glitch though ramps ,walls and many things human beings aren't meant to go though in real or in the gaming world and the lip on ramps will sometimes just knock you off the board even though your coming down right. Or for no reason your skater will suddenly just get off a rail that your grinding on despite the fact your nowhere near the end of the rail and your didn't tell the skater to exit the grind. Worst of all though is the level designs!! They're so poor they can easily be manipulated into getting huge scores with little effort (the beach springs to mind) you can literally grind in a circle and rack up huge points and complete the objective very quickly.

This game is trash and it was made for one purpose and one purpose only to remove money from your pocket and give you the least amount of content for as little effort as possible . This was done because activision is losing the licence in a few months and whoever picks up the licence (if any at all) will have to pick up the pieces of this franchise or maybe now this franchise is worth alot less activision will look to renew their contract at a much reduced price .

Either way avoid this game and i wouldn't even suggest picking this up when its £20 its worth £5 to £8 at best but the least amount of money we give activision for this cash grab the better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wow i wasn't expecting this game to be that bad!! Should of read reviews that aren't mainstream review sites., 24 Aug. 2015
This review is from: Thief (PS4) (Video Game)
So i just got a PS4 and this game was on my list of must buys and i was surprised by the low price so I bought it . BIG MISTAKE this game is rubbish and i wasted several hours playing it , not even worth the £11 i paid. The game is unfinished , sound is awful , cut scenes look below standard and choppy , linear and restrictive gameplay , repetitive and the control scheme to this game is some of the worst i've ever come across . The one positive is the graphics in some places are quite nice .

I wouldn't be surprised if this game kills the thief franchise.

AVOID !!

1.0 out of 5 stars DAY ONE DLC'S CHARGING YOU FOR WHAT USED TO BE IN GAME UNLOCKABLES AND AN ONLINE RANDOM PARTY RARELY BEATS THE MONSTER, 5 April 2015
This review is from: Evolve (PS4) (Video Game)
Remember when in the good old days you played through a game and you would unlock different outfits or skins for your character or weapons ? Well someone at take 2 thought I know lets charge people for that. To be honest its a scummy move but take 2 and other companies know there will be people dumb enough to pay for it !! I for one am not one of them but I was dumb enough to buy this game.

This game is a cash in nothing more nothing less. NO CAMPAIGN , Day one DLC which should be in the game , limited content which gets repetitive after a few hours, overpowered monster , you probably have about a 10% chance of defeating a monster with random people online in your party . You shouldn't be able to see all the game has to offer after 90 mins of gameplay but In all seriousness you have and it was boring after that.

PROS :

NICE CONCEPT
MONSTERS ARE DESIGNED WELL AND ITS FUN TO PLAY AS ONE
NO GLITCHES I EXPERIENCED

CONS:

CASH COW
30% OF THE GAME LEFT OUT AND MADE DLC
LIMITED CONTENT FOR A FULL RETAIL RELEASE
OVERPOWERED MONSTER ESPECIALLY WRAITH
YOU HAVE SEEN ALL THE GAME AFTER LESS THAN 90 MINS
NO CAMPAIGN
CAN'T PLAY WITH RANDOM PEOPLE ONLINE AS YOU WILL RARELY BEAT THE MONSTER
EXPECTED MORE MAPS , MONSTER ETC FOR THE PRICE
REPETITIVE AFTER A SHORT WHILE
HEARING THE SAME DIALOGUE OVER AND OVER AGAIN , COULDN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO ADD 7 OR 8 NEW INTRO'S . I GOT THE SAME STORY ABOUT DAISY 5 TIMES IN A ROW.

SO YEA DON'T BUY THIS GAME NOT ONLY TO SAVE YOUR MONEY BUT TO PROVE A POINT GAMERS WON'T BE USED AS CASH COWS AND RIPPED OFF!!

1.0 out of 5 stars This arrived a week ago and the one week using it has been terrible., 5 Mar. 2011
First off i like to use headphones as my ears are used to headphones over many years of using mp3 and such. This unit has no such function why not ?

Also were is the keyword search function ?

This isn't very user friendly i have to work for it rather than it working for me . Very disappointing i will be getting my money back and looking for other options and a sat nav with more functionality.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books I have ever read!!, 4 Sept. 2010
This book is the type of book every reader hope's to find, when they pick up a new book and hope to be captured and drawn into its world. Battle royale does that and then some.

First off the characters are what makes this book in my opinion ,my profile name is even named after one. Each character has the own way of dealing with the BR act some revel in it, other's fight against it but most are consumed by it.

To add to the character's we have an amazing story and tons of action its quiet long too , but if you were like me and drawn completely into the story then you will probably finish it in a couple of days. All in all 5/5 and a book I definitely recommend.

On a side note a book called hunger games was released in 2008 nearly a decade after battle royale the striking similarities between these two books is nothing short of plagiarism. Susan collins ripped this book off and cashed in on Koshun Takami's great story. Its not just the main plot but five very similar scenes in both books that the chance's of being thought up separately are odds of millions i have a review of hunger games on my other reviews list don't want to go too in depth as this is a battle royale review.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable while it lasted, but not without massive flaws., 4 Sept. 2010
I don't think this is a bad game but not five star game either! to be a five star game it needs to have it all , enjoyment , nonlinear gameplay, good long story, good graphics , good character's and in more recent years good online play . Kane and lynch 2 has some of these but not all.

I enjoyed the character's but the ending was weak,
good story but it was too short,
enjoyable gameplay but repetitive,
good graphics but it had poor online play.

overall 3/5 for me not great but not bad. As another reviewer suggested a rental maybe?

5.0 out of 5 stars Actually makes vegetables taste better!!, 5 July 2010
I have always wanted a steamer because i heard this was the best way to eat vegetables and i have grown tired of boiled veg that tasted horrible. I didn't go for an electric one because i heard many reviews about them breaking down or not steaming properly so i bought this one instead.

First off the design is great and looks simple and expensive at the same time. secondly when you try it out you will be even more impressed with how better spuds, broccoli , cauliflower and many other vegetables taste ,they taste the way they are supposed to taste and not boiled to death.

I have used it virtually for every meal since well worth the money and definitely recommended.
