2.0 out of 5 stars Ok but Chest Strap Far Too Tight for a 42" Chest - Unusable and Waiting for Return, 5 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Product looks good, but the chest strap is far too short, even on max adjustment and full stretch of the elasticated section. I have a 'normal' 42 inch chest - I can only just do it up, but it would be impossible to run safely with it like that. Still waiting for the return information from the company ........

4.0 out of 5 stars Impressive redelivery attempts. Works fine, blanking plates naff, 16 July 2010
This was a replacement for the equivalent Mira model I bought some ten years ago. Reasonably straightforward to fit although the mounting holes were in different places. Much quieter than the earlier model. Only pain was that the plastic blanking plates that are supposed to click into place to prevent too much water getting into the unit next to the pipe entry points were useless and would not stay in place longer than ten seconds. I trust that it won't cause the unit to go bang without them......

5.0 out of 5 stars On time delivery, seems to work fine - reassurring., 15 July 2010
The only problem I had was in holding the stick 180 degrees the wrong way against the colour chart on the side of the tub - I was trying to match all sorts of colours against the indicators thinking that my sample was a bit wierd! I wondered whether my mild colour blindness had got worse!
When I turned the stick around, all colours matched well and it turned out that I was perhaps just a little dehydrated.
Hence two recommendations - a which way up indicator for idiots like me and secondly, I don't think I really need 100. 50 would have been ample!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea but nest is still awaiting tenants!, 7 Jun. 2010
This review is from: RED MASON BEE NEST
Loved the idea, but so far no takers for the accommodation. Hard to find a spot in my garden that both gets the early morning sun (as a previous reviewer recommended) and warm afternoon sun, so maybe it's a non-starter in my location. However, we've given it as an interesting present to others, so we'll see how they fare. Don't regret buying it.

Being circular, I found it tricky mounting it against a fence - I used cable ties in the end, but it would be nice if it came with some form of mounting kit - maybe like those clips used for drainage downpipes from guttering?

Intempo Digital RDI iPod Speaker Dock With Built In DAB
Intempo Digital RDI iPod Speaker Dock With Built In DAB

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but a couple of niggles, 15 Mar. 2010
Works well, good sound and solidly built. Preset allocation and selection a bit fiddly. Can't adjust bass and treble without using remote control - bit irriting.

Two things they should change:
1) Because of the sloping back of the unit, the aerial cannot be set to true vertical - it always slopes backwards. Hence if you fully extend the aerial as they recommend, the unit has to be several inches away from the wall. Annoying if (as in my house) you have limited space on a kitchen worktop and cupboards above. Does work on the key stations I listen to on about 1 foot of aerial extension, which puts it about three inches away from the wall.
2) There is a unprotected woofer-type speaker in the middle at the back. This is fine except for if you try to pick up the unit in the middle with say your thumb in front and your fingers at the back. There is a strong risk of pushing your fingers through the speaker cone itself - I've nearly done this twice. They could do with a cover at least.

Apart from that, happy with the unit and would recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beware - Ink Binger and Lexmark Only Cartridges!, 2 May 2008
Had a lot of problems setting this up as USB, but finally managed it - some USB drivers were missing. Wireless worked well though.
However - it's an Inkoholic in terms of ink usage. No issue I thought, as I buy the ink refill kits for under a tenner that will fill at least three times.
This worked for a while when the printer driver said the ink was low and it allows you to force a print for a while. But after a few more prints it cancels every print job you send and will not let you continue - "helpfully" providing you with a link to purchase ink from Lexmark. I haven't found any cheaper compatibles and have not found a cartridge resetter like you can get with Epsons.
Hence beware - nice product, but there's a reason it's so cheap to buy - it's cost you £25 per time to refill the inks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Weightwatchers Body Fat Scales - Disappointing, 16 Oct. 2006
Found the scales a bit temperamental.

Quite often you'll tap them to turn them on and they'll come up with "Err" (presumably Error). If you then wait 10 seconds or pick them up and put them down again, they may then work ok.

Also disappointed with the accuracy. They read out to a quarter of a pound, but if you step on them, step off and then re-weigh yourself perhaps 20 seconds later, the reading can then be up to two pounds out from the last time. If you're watching every pound, then this is really frustrating and you'd think Weight Watchers would know this!!
