4.0 out of 5 stars The 4th album, 25 May 2005
This review is from: The Invisible Invasion (Audio CD)
This album is a bit darker than previous coral releases but musically it is on a par with their second album (i.e. better than the 3rd, worse than the 1st). it has some fine moments. most noticeably 1st single "In the morning". Its a good effort and has some excellent tunes but doesnt break any new ground probably wont convert many new listeners.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 17 May 2005
This is an excellent debut from the Duke Spirit. It had been a work in progress for over a year and many of the songs have already been released on other formats. The songs are a noise-fest of guitars and pounding drums. With the beautiful Leila's vocals over the top they have a distinctive sound and while the record justs fails to match the energy of their fantastic live performances, this is simply an album full of really good songs. The bonus CD is also worth hearing with some fully produced demo tracks and live radio perfomances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy It, 3 May 2005
This review is from: Up All Night (Audio CD)
One of the best albums of the last 5 years is even better with the addition of the anthem "Somewhere Else". A kick in the teeth to those who bought the album originally but if you dont have it yet, there is now really no excuse...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, 3 May 2005
This review is from: Phoenix (Audio CD)
This is one of the best albums in my collection and really cant be faulted. There is well of emotion behind some of the buzzing guitars as well as some excellent tunes to rock to. Isolation is my favoutite track but Shake The Dope Out and Baby Blue are immense as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, 3 May 2005
This is really quite a special album and is well worth buying due to the depth and breadth of these excellent songs. Its true that not everyone will like it, but these will be the people who just listen to chart music, not people who actually like music.

This review is from: Eraserhead [DVD] (DVD)
Dont be fooled into buying or even watching this. Im a big Lynch fan, mulholland drive is class, but this is dreadful, pointless drivel. its not scary, its not entertaining, its just mince and makes no sense.
Honestly, life is too short.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, bad and ugly, 27 April 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Mulholland Drive is a classic. Weird, brilliant and confusing.
Lost Highway could be good, but it just doesnt work because it makes no sense at all.
Eraserhead is the worst film I have ever had the misfortune of sitting down to watch.
Just buy Mulholland Drive and forget Eraserhead even exists. I wish it didnt.

4.0 out of 5 stars Devils and Dust, 27 April 2005

A cross between Nebraska and The Rising, with a bit more emphasis on the stark sound of Nebraska, this album is no more and no less than we've come to expect from the Boss. Lyricaly and musically the content is (too?) consistent with his previous releases. These songs take you on a mini journey into some desperate souls life and while some stand out immediately as being exceptional music, others are growers and reveal their class only after a you really listen to both the music and the words. An excellent album but I'm still holding out for the e-street band to make Born To Run II.
