This is a superb series and an excellent value for money box set. The whole series is pretty much faultless, a host of great characters, great stories superb animation, fantastic production design. I just loved it. Star Wars seems to have become a difficult story to tell on the big screen, partly (perhaps) because expectations are so high and partly (perhaps) because some of the more recent storytelling just felt stilted and weak. None of this with Clone Wars. Rather than piggy back the success of the big screen adventure, the writers and designers have created a host of great new characters, new worlds and storylines that add immeasurably to the depth and complexity of the Star Wars universe. Star Wars Rebels is also great. In my opinion Clone Wars is the stronger of the two (by a smidgeon), but Rebels is still very good and definitely worth a watch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality but odd sizing, 10 Oct. 2013

This is a nice quality product at a very reasonable price. My only quibble is with the sizing of the shirts. A few months back I bought a large size, which is a bit snug but just about wearable. I thought I'd give the XLarge size a bash but it seems much, much, much, much bigger than the Large. If you've considering buying any shirts from the range, especially if you're thinking of buying a few, I'd recommend you buy one as a sample first before committing to a bulk order.

3.0 out of 5 stars Print color not as advertised, 12 Mar. 2013
The t-shirt quality is quite nice but the color of the print turned out to be very different from that featured in the photograph on Amazon. The one I got turned out to be a bright and rather cheap looking orange. The delivery was also later than advertised (although only by a few days). Just a little bit disappointing.

The Shirt is nice quality but the size I received (Large) is much bigger than other FOTL shirts I've got that are also labeled Large. I'm not sure which version is mislabeled (it might have been the other shirt) but if you're thinking of ordering a few of these I'd order one first and confirm the size is what you want.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, 16 Jan. 2012

To be fair, the film does look pretty good for a ten million buck production - but it would have been much better if some of that money had been spent on a decent writer.

I'm perplexed as to why people like this movie. Apart from the costume design I thought it was just awful. I don't even know what it is. It's meant to be a comedy but the dialogue isn't funny. It's meant to be a thriller but there's precious little in the way of tension. It's meant to be a romance but there's no real emotion here. Based on the reviews, I really expected so much more.

The print quality is watchable but a tiny bit fuzzy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shadowy beauty, 14 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Died In The Wool (Audio CD)
IMO Manafon is like a beautiful sculpture that's been smashed to bits and left in fragments on the floor. At first it appears like an incoherent mess but as you pick among the shards you suddenly begin to discern that something of remarkable beauty has been created - in some places just a collection of intriguing elements, in others alien and yet oddly coherent patterns. For the most part, Manafon is a challenging listen, but I think definitely worth the effort. It's sparse, a bit dark and sometimes austere but for me, there's also a feeling of richness and joy, or perhaps it's simply the exhilaration of stepping into a world that we don't often get to experience. Died in the Wool, as a kind of companion piece to Manafon, opens up different avenues to explore within the Manafon world, here we see/hear more detail, a little bit more colour, a little bit more depth and texture that Manafon left obscured in shadows and silence. To my ears Died in the Wool is a more accessible starting point, it offers a bit more in the way of conventional musical form (useful if, like me, you're not really an aficionado of free improvision) 'I Should not Dare' is especially lovely.

This is a really solid album from Richard Barbieri. Stand out tracks for me are 'Fear and Trembling' and the brilliant (no pun intended) 'Light on Glass' - but there are really no bad tracks here at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars More great stuff from Stewart Lee, 24 April 2010

There's quite a lot of good comedy flying around these days. For my money Stewart Lee offers some of the best. It isn't laugh out loud funny every five seconds, but it's never not entertaining. I have other DVDs (from other stand-up artists obviously) that offer more laughs per minute, but the laughs you get with Stewart Lee are of a much finer quality. For me, a lot of what is so entertaining is simply Stewart's delivery, his stage performance is masterful, he just really knows his stuff.
