An attractive book but it could do with more information and detail about the makes and styles of ties.

This is faultless cd if you like world music - i'm amazed this music has been so obscure for so long. The whole series is good but this is my favourite.

This is a beautifully packaged comp with a well researched booklet, this and the scream contest are both excellent. a labour of love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great selection of rare tracks, 2 Oct. 2009

I've bought quite a few of these comps recently on cd and this, along with analog africa series & Ethiopiques, are all excellent. I have some of the nigerian and benin music on vinyl but i've never seen these ghanian records so they are genuinely rare.

5.0 out of 5 stars New York nostalgia, 2 Jun. 2007
This review is from: Downtown 81 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is an art-film rather than a movie. If you like the work of Basquiat, then you will appreciate it for this reason alone. Some good NY new wave bands and early hip-hop culture. A glimpse of a world now gone for good, nostalgia for those who remember the excesses and creativity of the late 70s/ early 80s.
