5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed!, 26 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have a very large screen TV, and as I thus sit right across the room from it, ordinary wired headphones would be useless as the cable would be too short. I tried using a FM wireless headset transmitter/receiver pair, but the quality was poor and the transmitter needed regular battery changes.

Hence, I decided to go the Bluetooth route with this device. The quality is much better, and this transmitter also has its own built-in charger (plugs into any USB-A socket, whether it be a mains-to-USB adapter or a spare port on your TV) and can be used whilst charging for true set-and-forget functionality.

The only possible snag is that it can pair with only one headset at a time; but most Bluetooth headphones can have another pair of headphones plugged into them to share the connection.

1.0 out of 5 stars Appalling build quality, not durable, 26 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
They lasted only about 12 hours; then the headband snapped on both sides whilst I was removing them. The sound quality is impressive, but the build quality render these headphones useless. I'm hoping to return them for a refund, on the grounds that they are not of merchantable quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars HUMlin is an apt name, 21 Nov. 2015

Unfortunately the unshielded input cable makes an excellent aerial, hence has to be kept well away from any mains leads in order to avoid an infuriating 50Hz buzz in the background. This unit is all right if you just want a med-fi listening experience (and are going to be listening at fairly high volume to drown out the background hum), but don't waste your money on a mains adapter for the emitter; this will cause the hum to rise to an unacceptable level, even if instead of the adapter you use an external USB battery pack (I tried this). If you use this device, you will just have to switch off the emitter when not in use, and change the batteries every week or two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!, 20 Nov. 2015

Very, very colourful and quite bright as well!

One thing to beware of is that these lights don't just colour-cycle, they flash as well (each bulb's colour and flashing/steady status is independent of the others), so they may not be suitable for some people with photosensitive medical conditions (or who simply don't like flashing lights); but for most people, they are wonderful!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality and value but not quite as described, 18 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Note that the illustration and description are misleading. Firstly, these are not colour-cycling lights; they are the standard fixed red/yellow/green/blue LEDs. Hence it is not possible for any of them to be cyan or purple, contrary to the image. Secondly, no chase mode is provided (nor possible), as the lamps are wired on only two circuits (red/yellow and green/blue); although there are the usual twinkle modes (and probably a steady mode, although I haven't found that one yet). Still, these are good quality, but if you want colour-cycling or chasing you will need to look elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money, 14 Nov. 2015

Don't be fooled by the fact that the manufacturer is called Dynamic Sounds, or that the description claims suitable applications to include CD players, radios and MP3 players. This adapter has nasty mains-hum breakthrough, making it totally unsuitable for powering audio equipment such as the wireless headphones (HUMLIN WIRELESS HEADPHONES 5 in 1 WIRELESS CORDLESS RF HEADPHONES HEADSET WITH MIC BLACK) for which I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, works as expected, 29 Oct. 2015

Great little gadget!

Two things to beware of:

1) It plugs into the headphone socket of your mobile/tablet, and (as can be seen in the product illustration) it has a four-pole plug, hence is only guaranteed to be fully compatible with devices with this kind of socket. It works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (full transmit/receive functionality), but not so well with my Lenovo A10-70 (transmit only, hence cannot be used to learn the functions of the remotes it will be replacing).

2) The remote definitions available for download are mostly (perhaps exclusively) for products sold in China, and the template definitions reflect this (for instance, the TV template doesn't have the four colour buttons present on all UK TV remotes). However, this is bound to improve as people in Europe adopt this device and upload their own definitions to the database, Also, the templates can be edited to add missing buttons.

The (current) lack of European definitions means that this gadget is (at present) of little or no use as a replacement for a remote that has already been lost, or if it is not receive-compatible with your device; but for learning the functions of your remotes, which can then be safely tucked away in case of future need, it is excellent.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cannot get it to work, 9 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The included instruction booklet is ridiculously small and in stupidly tiny type (only about 2-3pt; 6pt is usually considered the bare minimum to be readable, but 10pt or bigger is preferable for ease of reading) and I find it extremely difficult to read even if wearing a pair of 3.5 dioptre glasses in addition to my usual 2 dioptre glasses, giving a combined magnification of 5.5 dioptres. I then tried following the instructions, using all three codes listed for a Sky box (0880, 0881 and 2007) and none of them work; I suspect that this may be because these codes are for older boxes, whereas I have the latest Sky+ HD box. Whatever the reason, this means that this controller is useless to me, and a waste of money. I'm not even going to try the dozen or so codes listed for Finlux TVs, to see if one matches my TV.

3.0 out of 5 stars I suppose you get what you pay for, 25 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The plus points of this tablet:

*It's cheap
*Despite having Android 4.4, it doesn't suffer the nasty bug of most Android 4.4 tablets, whereby Google in their wisdom have decided that being able to use the thing is a "security risk".

The minus points:
*Worst build quality I've ever come across
* It lasted only two months

I won't be buying it again. But then, since Google have rendered Android useless as a productivity tool, I probably won;t be buying any tablet again/

3.0 out of 5 stars Not working properly, 6 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A large part of the reason why I use a tablet computer is so that I can use it as a PDA, with the help of a Bluetooth keyboard and Jota Text Editor. I have had no problems with using my previous cheap tablets for this purpose, while they continued to work at all (though they have all had to be replaced in short order, because they stopped accepting a charge, or in the case of the last one because the Bluetooth failed). Hence I expected a supposedly top-quality brand such as Lenovo to give me the same level of functionality, plus longer life due to better build quality.

It doesn't; when I try to save a file, I get a nasty error message saying that the current version of Android does not allow writing to the external SD card. So unless I can upgrade the tablet to another Android version which doesn't suffer this nasty bug, and do so soon, it would appear that I've wasted my money.

(Increased the rating to three stars because I finally fixed the problem, and because this is a good tablet otherwise; not given the maximum 5 stars because people shouldn't need to go to such lengths.)
