3.0 out of 5 stars Good information but not practical, 31 May 2016

Great information on the what and how of anxiety etc, what the symptoms can be and why. BUT I was hoping for a more PRACTICAL guide to dealing with the symptoms. But the information does help somewhat
Maybe I should have read the title a bit more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow great ending to part 1, 31 Jan. 2016
Totally loved this book, best one yet
The descriptions of space combat were beautifully thought out interns of how you could use the technologies as weapons.
Really looking forward to seeing what the author does with these characters in the future

4.0 out of 5 stars Flash Gordon reincarnated, 2 July 2015
lets be candid this is not a great sci fi epic in the tone of Star Wars (could have been), or a thinking mans sci fi as in Prometheus (was never gonna be that), doesn't break new ground like the original matrix movie, however it's a laugh, the action is pretty full on and pays a massive amount of homage (whether intentionally )to Flash Gordon, he'll there even guys with wings, lizard people and ridiculous outfits and hot girls. The house soldiers of house braxis (or whatever it's called ) looked like they've walked off the the set of Flash Gordon, as a 40 something who LOVED Flash Gordon (hence loved TED) I loved it, big grin. Yeah the plots is anorexically thin, the characters very limited, and stealing blatantly from recent box offices smashes (look at Titus as a vampire from twilight see my point) it's a roller coaster of fun, never takes itself too seriously, perhaps an over reliance on special effects actions but hell if your going that route then really go for it. Not sure why Chaning Tatum had pointy ears and bad beard that made him look like a sador from the lion witch and the wardrobe but hey who am I to critique the costumier. Still a laugh, don't expect groundbreaking sci fi drama and enjoy it for what it is 2 hours of sci fi Pulp fiction fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good reviews but digital formatting needs sorting, 9 Mar. 2015

Bit of a who's who of the non mechanical side of endodontics, if as myself your just finishing you masters in endodontics you may find this a little dated as much of the information is already in review form in the literature (if you have free access to it), however it is fairly comprehensive if a couple of years dated (as all books of this type will be) and if your just starting a higher degree or wish to update after not studying for a while it's excellent, especially as so well referenced, this brings me to the main reason for the dropped star. In Kindle format the referencing systems does not allow you to check references easily when a point is made using a specific article and then straight back to the text as you can in a book by holding the page and flicking to the references, surely this is something that can be sorted out by published and kindle software team. Finally tables do not read very well in digital format. Consequently I've returned the digital version and willbe buying the paper version all be it more expensive. This should tell you all you need to know about the actual book content.

5.0 out of 5 stars Middle aged convert, 26 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I originally started looking into these books as a shortcut workout cos of lack of time to do weights, study for a masters, family and social stuff and long work hours. I've trained "hard" intermittently over the years but ran out of time or interest, usually dos I'd injure my shoulders doing something supposedly good ( re read stupid). The detail in how to in these books is great, my former life as a teen early twenty something martial arts enthusiast I knew many if these things and used to great effect to be strong (but not big, by any stretch), but wanted to be "bigger", didn't we all with arnie, Dolph (same karate style as I did in eighties and nineties) and sly (boxed as well), never really got anywhere near it using weights. This stuff though way better, more interesting, more challenging and safer, say it again safer, also I'm more keen on lean strength and fitness ( read statham not the the rock) than bulking. Now looking forward to developing to doing one arm push-ups (properly now not like I used to do, prob still could do one or two), handstand push up etc
Get these ( kindle is cheaper) change your life swear to god, plus his view on modern diet et is refreshing

Great fun, no real surprises but quite well thought out especially the variances in space combat etc
More a novella than a novel, but still reminds me of Saturday morning episodes of Flash Gordon etc, can't wait for the next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great looks and sound, few minor gripes, 18 Oct. 2014
Impressive for price great clear and neutral sound quality, I've got £200 pair of over ear sennheisers and there's virtually no difference in general sound quality you've really got to stretch them to see difference. Bought them for my 10 year old daughter (stopped nagging me for Beats now, which I also think are acoustically inferior to these, all bass nothing else really). Only gripe after 6 weeks one of the ear pads came off, no biggie superglue repair but really expect better. One other gripe for others is the noise isolation isn't brilliant when compared to my AKG - 452 which were slightly more pricey, but not as funky looking according to my daughter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but could be improved for cyclists, 9 Oct. 2014
Comfortable Pack but really needs additional better shaped pockets, also would add a bright/fluorescent rain cover to it could build it into a small pocket in the base

4.0 out of 5 stars very good, 25 Jun. 2014

Not my usual fair, took me a little time to get into it but once it started to detail the action nicely done, well thought out with characters having realistic limitations in terms of abilities. Got a bit of a twilightesque quality to it with the love twists. Could see thus making it to Hollywood movie or mini series

4.0 out of 5 stars good old fashioned space fun, 31 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is more a novella than book, reminds me of old monthly comic books and saturday morning black and white tv adventures. It's never going to stretch your intellect but the ideas are good the characters solid and pace well written. There are no major surprises in plot lines but in this story that's how it should be its kind of a cross between Star Wars and Star Trek and works well. If your looking for something deep go. And read Hamilton or bear, but if you want something easy to read, amusing at times and good action sequences then give the a go I've enjoyed them all and given up worrying their a little shallow. Looking forward to book 12 and beyond.
