4.0 out of 5 stars Great Figure, 31 May 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great detail which really captures the menace of the character. My only complaint is the character's mask can't be removed. Usually with figure this expensive you would expect this to be possible or at least have an interchangeable head. This means we can probably expect another Deathstroke figure six months from now identical but with a new head.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brillant Figure, 31 May 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent detail, really captures the look of this classic character. Also comes with a mountain of accessories from the animated series. Difficult to find fault with. A must for fans of the 1990s animated series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Monstrously Good Figure, 3 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good quality figure that actually looks like David Morrissey's character. The figure's clothing and accessories are also near perfect copies of how the character appears in the series. Also unlike the first Governor figure if you do decide to switch heads it shouldn't break the figure as they appear to have improved the quality of the manufacture. A good choice for any big fans of the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars James Spader Saves This Series, 2 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
James Spader is fantastic as always however everything else about this series is very average. There is really nothing here that you haven't already seen in 24, Alias or even CSI. Also frequently the other characters phone up James Spader for advice on some relatively simple puzzle they should have been able to solve themselves, given they are supposedly highly trained government agents. As a result a lot of the characters come across as dim, especially when the script requires it.
I can not stress enough how much James Spader saves this series through his performance as a crime lord/traitor mixing his old character Alan Shore with more than a bit of Hannibal Lector. Without him this series wouldn't be worth your time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Figure Review, 2 Jan. 2015

Good likeness and generally of good quality. However this figure isn't as of high quality as the earlier Neca AC figures and the blow pipe has a nasty habit of slipping out of its bandoleer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good But Could Have Been Better, 16 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good but a little bit light on information especially about the characters. Usually these DK books are choc full of details but it is clear because this book has been published before the show premiered the writers weren't given much information beyond a basic outline of the series. I would wait a year or so for the expanded visual guide that they will no doubt bring out but if you can't wait this will do as basic guide to the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest cop show ever, 16 Jun. 2013

From its high quality writing to its beautifully realised characters, this is a tough to fault series. Even if you haven't seen the previous series this relatively easy for anyone who enjoys good drama to get into.

3.0 out of 5 stars No classic, but fun, 18 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Star Wars: Scourge (Paperback)
As Star Wars novels go this is never going to be in the top 10. However that said I've had fun reading it. What makes the story interesting is the decision to make the hero a very average jedi master, who's riddled with doubts about his abilities. He makes a good change from the norm and is reasonably well developed and likeable. The plot, while not hugely original, is very readable. Also I imagine the way it is written, with very few references to past books, will make very easy for those new to Expanded Universe to pick up.
However the book does have some bad points. Most of supporting characters, with one or two exceptions, are very thinly developed and aren't that interesting. Secondly the identity of the arch villian really isn't a mystery. Finally the plot does drag in one or two places.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brillant fun, 17 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This game takes the clever idea of allowing you to play as four different versions of Spiderman and makes a brillant game out of it. Each Spiderman plays slightly differently, for example Noir Spiderman uses stealth while Ultimate Spiderman has the power of the Venom suit. This adds to the variety of the game. Also the graphics for each Spiderman level is drawn in a comic style unique to each Spiderman. The game also has a huge a array of comic villians for you to fight like Juggernaut, Ultimate Carnage, Noir Vulture and Hobgoblin 2099. The gameplay is fluid and fun, really making you feel like Spiderman.
However there are a few minor faults. There are a few small bugs on the PC verson that crop up occasionally, there are too many parts of the game where you have to rescue civilians and a few scripted scenes where unless you do exactly what the game wants you are stuck. Finally you really need an Xbox 360 controller for PC to play this game properly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great atmosphere, shame about the rest of game, 17 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Homefront (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
When you start this game you really feel like a resistance fighter in an occupied country. The atmosphere of the game is beutifully crafted to give a realistic feel and clearly a lot of thought has gone into creating the game's war ravaged enviroments.
However beyond the enviroments this game is an extremely bogstandard and fairly dull first person shooter, bringing nothing new or distinctive to the genre. The story, once you get past the premise is very weak and predictable. However the AI is by far the worst problem. While the enemy AI is fairly smart the AI of your companions isn't. All they do is get in the way when you're trying to get to cover. Whenever you are in a firefight they fire the weapons but don't actually hit anything making them more hiderance than help.
If you're looking for a budget first person shooter I'd buy bulletstorm instead as thats better in so many ways.
