a book written durig the maccabeen period. Has come to us ,largely in an uncorrupted condition. Accepted scripture for several hundred years. Lots of information not included in the biblical stories. Starts with adam and ends with moses and its content will be largely familiar to anyone who has read / is reading genesis and exodus
