5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon pearls ahoy, 29 Aug. 2012
This book is very tough, but very rewarding! It's a little bit more difficult to find some of the interesting adventures compared to other books, but when you do find them, they are more than worth it. My one recommendation is don't bother trying to sail around the continent, it's much easier to travel overland... Such a shame that the series finishes here. Buy this book and there might be more to come!

5.0 out of 5 stars Back at long last!, 15 Aug. 2012

One of the greatest books in the whole Fabled Lands series is finally back in print! The Uttakin lands contain some of the most amazing stories in the realms, including finally owning your own castle. Who wouldn't want that? You can even get involved in the slave trade if you have no heart or humanity left after mixing with the masked denizens of the palace. And have you seen the market in Aku? Do yourself a favour and help contribute to the continued success of the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watch out for that hole..., 15 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Plains of Howling Darkness continues on building the rich world of Harkuna, detailing the frozen northern lands. Watch out you don't go too far north, or you might fall into the gates of hell. Some very interesting quests in this book, and a large, trackless waste to explore. And don't forget to wrap up that business with the military dictatorship in Sokara!

5.0 out of 5 stars A pirates life, 15 Aug. 2012

The third book in the Fabled Lands series is, once again, a masterwork in interactive fiction. Sailing the seas is a deadly business, so make sure you've got your safe houses stocked, a ship in every port, and check your resurrection deal is current before setting out with a prayer to Alvir and Valmir on your lips. You know you want to buy them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing the adventure..., 15 Aug. 2012

The second book in the Fabled Lands series is a worthy successor to the War Torn Kingdoms. Not only does it provide you with a big long coastline to build your shipping/trading empire, it also adds a splash of the fantastic and fae to the Harkunan mix. There's definitely a more faerie tale feel to Golnir, which is a nice change of pace. Watch out for one of the most potent magical items in the whole series hidden away in this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing start to an amazing series, 15 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Other reviewers have given the overall idea for this book and series, so let me simply say that all the 5 star reviews are more than warranted. The first book in the series is actually one of the best, so there's no reason not to start here to see how you like the series. The first book has great introductory character, as well as some cracking quests to start you off. A classic.
