4.0 out of 5 stars Terrorist With Familiar Faces, 20 Feb. 2015
What if you were assigned a big task in the war on terror only to find out the cell you seek includes a woman you thought dead? Now imagine that this woman is your wife. That is exactly what happened to M17 Officer Nicholas Fleming. His wife was undercover in Afghanistan posing as the third wife of an ISAF operative. There was a drone strike and she was reported dead and the body irrecoverable. When he is assigned to a task force because of rumors of a terrorist strike in the middle of London he comes face to face with his assumed dead wife. This is only one of the masterful plot twists in J. J. Wards latest thriller. He has created plausible scenarios and even more believable characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something For Every Reader, 19 Dec. 2014
This review is from: The Screaming (Kindle Edition)
Paranormal Activity, Romance, Murder and Mystery - its all in there. Travel from Kansas City in the US to UK in this David Graham Thriller. The book opens up rather disturbingly a young man kills his parents in front of his sibs...what is even more disturbing is the sexual nature of his actions afterward. Sure there is a bit of gore but the writing and storytelling will more than cover this. This book had me hooked from the blurb.

4.0 out of 5 stars War Gets An Entirely New Breath of Life, 16 Nov. 2014
This review is from: The Devil's Bridge (Paperback)
One of the best passages for me is the passage where the soldier is showing his fear, not just of the war at hand but also the unknown paranormal activity that seems to be a part of the action. Connor weaves a tale that is not only engaging but will whet the appetites of those who love stories involving paranormal aspects. This is a great read and I highly recommend that you add it to your collection. The only problem I see is figuring out what to file it under. This one offers Thrills and Chills a plenty.

4.0 out of 5 stars We Are All Patchwork People, 11 Sept. 2014
This is true to a certain extent. We all have things that we would rather not share with the world. Some may even seem small to others but can be devastating to the ones it has happened to. In this new world created by D.B. Martin you are only as good as your public image. Getting a job in politics requires a certain image no matter what country you are in. For Lawrence Juste obtaining a seat on High Court of the UK is his life's ambition but a few skeletons' from his past rear their ugly heads and threaten to derail all of his plans.

Martin is known for ability to make a description literally sing. This work is no different. She leads you on an adventure that has highs and lows but never a dull moment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Conspiracy In South Africa Is A Given, 13 Aug. 2014
One of the tastiest novels I have read in a long time. The book actually makes me want to know more about the author. She seems to know of her country and the way things work quite well. I really loved the way she painted the scenery of South Africa with its flora and fauna so unique to the area and how she used local terms and phrasing but in such a way as it was easy to figure out what the phrase meant. If I have one thing to say it is that you should do yourself a favor and buy this book without delay.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ralph Reynolds Captures the Spirit of the Old West, 13 Aug. 2014
The old west has been romanticized in many books and films but the truth of the matter is this was a time in America that was fraught with peril. It was a time when law was new to the frontier and Reynolds captured this in spades. The story of Butch Cassidy’s time in Luna is told by local Westcott (Scottie) Abner and it takes on an entirely new feel as it is now not only a tale of outlaws but also of the Mormon Church.

The writing is excellent and the period speech patterns are dead on. This author has an incredible grasp of his subject matter and makes this one of the most exciting reads I have found this summer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Your Ordinary Guy Book, 4 Aug. 2014
While on first glance a woman may think that this is just another testosterone filled spy novel but you will be amazed. J.J. Ward is a writer that I respect mainly because he always includes strong female characters. This time the adventure is current and although the cold war is over there is plenty of espionage and intrigue afoot. You will get politics, international relations and so much more, guaranteed to keep you coming back for more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Safeguarding Assets Is Timely Publication, 3 Feb. 2014
The reality of the world, unfortunately is that the more you have the more there are people who would do anything to get it from you. Frivolous lawsuits abound and the law is often a bit hazy on what a person can reasonably ask for. Inheritance, divorce, business failings and many other things can have a profound effect on your assets. If you are in a position that puts you at high risk for litigation this is a book that you need in your personal library.

Tales of Mi7: The Vengeance of San Gennaro
Tales of Mi7: The Vengeance of San Gennaro
by J. J. Ward
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Adventure in the Spy vs Spy Genre, 20 Jan. 2014
Tales of MI7: The Vengeance of San Gennaro by J.J. Ward, is not just another counterespionage tale. We meet famed artiste Giuditta Cancellerie who is so much more than she seems. MI7 Agent Gavin Feedman is sent to Venice to keep an eye on her in hopes of being lead to a master criminal named Sopa. The political crisis in Venice is the backdrop to what has proven to be an interesting story full of twists and turns.

The controversy over Concellerie's paintings is one of pure censorship. The government leaders don't want anyone painting them in a bad light. They are also afraid that her work may give people the impression that the criminals are to be admired.
One artist plays a pivotal role in the fate of a city.;

As spy thriller's go this is oneof the best of the season. I recommend it to all who love this type of book. Exciting and engaging to say the least.
