3.0 out of 5 stars Really great value dress, 6 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am a size 12 but ordered these in size 14 as didn't want it to be too clingy (after reading other reviews), and it fits perfectly, not too tight, not too loose. I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant and they're actually amazingly good dresses for maternity wear because of the pleat at the front - comfy, stylish, though I do imagine when my stomach is flat again the extra design material at the front may look a little odd but is great for now. Will be used too when breastfeeding as the front is low cut and stretches easily. I'm 5'6 and the dress comes down to my knees which is great, as I hate short thigh-length dresses. Material isn't see-through, is stretchy, and the colours are good (I bought one in navy and one in beige). Unfortunately, my beige version of this dress had, upon inspection, two small holes near the under arm - I'll have to try and sew these up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great premise, terrible, empty 2D characters, 8 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Terrible, typical teenage girl-aimed tripe. The typical cliche heroine who is so amazingly beautiful "but doesn't know it" (yeah right - she expects to bit hit on when she goes to the parties - take it from someone who ISN'T amazing beautiful, you do not have guys coming up to you if you're not stunning. I am so sick of the heroines of these stories being like that, so beautiful but oh so unaware of their own beauty, give me a break). The typical cliche hero who is so ridiculously handsome the main female character of course falls for his amazingly rock hard abs/handsome face/blah blah blah straight away. What irritated me most though was how they were saying they loved each other and they hadn't even known each other two weeks! It's just all so empty - they only seem to love each other because they're both so stunningly beautiful. The actual premise of this story was really good and had lots of potential, but for me personally was ruined by terrible 2D main characters with zero substance or appeal. I just didn't care what happened to them at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little radio., 8 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
LOVE THIS - Very smart looking, nice flashing colours when turned on - can only seem to pick up radio one clearly, but moving around picks up slightly better signal on some other stations like Classic FM. Charges well, doesn't overheat in socket even after being left on for hours. I use it both for the radio but also the static as a soothing white noise for my baby's nap time as white noise machines are so expensive. Very happy with this purchase.

This review is from: 6PK CRAZY DRINKING STRAWS
Nice mixed pack of sturdy curly shaped straws that have really helped encourage my toddler to drink from a cup and give up his bottle. Don't put in the dishwasher!

2.0 out of 5 stars Far too bright to function as a "night light"., 8 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Extremely bright white "night light" that is far too bright for even our big master bedroom (might as well leave the main lamp on) - instructions say "do not cover", however, if I don't cover it partially my son wakes from it in the night thinking it's morning already! Such a shame. Was hoping for a more gentle night light that was subdued, not a full on beam that brightens the entire room and hallway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little construction playset., 6 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I already have the other CAT mini machines set for my son (which includes a roller), so wanted to get this one too as it has a couple of different vehicles included and for only £5.99 seemed a real bargain. The vehicles are small (hence "Mini Machines") but durable, as long as the moving parts aren't forcibly bent - they stand up well to a 2 year old's playing. They are nicely detailed for such basic toys - track marks on the tyres, etc, which my son loves. They've already been to the beach, in the bath, in the sink etc, and although the CAT stickers obviously came off pretty much straight away in the water, apart from that they are nice and sturdy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good children's book about police/stranger danger, 8 Oct. 2015

Bought this for my 2 year old as he's started to show an interest in the police. It's very good as an introduction to stranger danger as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good anti colic bottle set, 13 Jun. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I got these for£15, which was a great bargain. My infant at the time had trouble with trapped wind, and switching to these made a noticeable difference.

Pros - pack includes enough to last through to weaning age and beyond
Helps with colic
Was a bargain if you can get at reduced price
Sturdy bottles, easy for older baby to hold.

Cons - can be difficult and fiddly to put together correctly, especially when it's 3 am and the 10th time you've been up trying to settle baby and you're just too exhausted to notice you haven't inserted the white rubber ring properly over the holes in the bottom of the bottle, thusly sending milk cascading all over the floor.
Can make very loud squeaking noise as baby drinks (the air being displaced through the holes in the bottom)
Lid for the bottles is very hard to get off once on. Takes me two hands and a lot of swearing.
Teat is flat shaped rather than "nipple" shaped, so some infants might reject it.

This review is from: JCB 7-inch Wheeled Loader (Toy)
Lovely little sturdy digger for my 2 year old. Has been to the beach, thrown down the stairs, been in the bath, used as a food trough (not my idea) and generally thrown and bashed around and is still in perfect nick.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricey, but a good toddler chair., 13 Jun. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great little chair for my toddler, he loves it. Very comfortable for him, easy to remove the cover and wash. Have had now for months and after much heavy use (jumping on, being thrown around, as a snack chair etc etc) only now is a little hole appearing in the top, which I can easily mend. It's a bit pricey for what it is though - I'd pay maybe £25 for it max next time, not the £36 i did originally.
