5.0 out of 5 stars This series goes from strengh to strengh, 12 Nov. 2014
The best yet. Fast paced and engaging, and with real emotional depth. Although these are a series, there is exactly enough back story explanation to make it easy for new readers to know what is going on. I loved the parallel stories, the past and the present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just loved this!, 28 Dec. 2013
Brilliant setting with engaging central characters. The story rips along. It's funny and tense by turns. It also lifts the lid on a very dark side of the glamorous world. I am looking forward to the follow up. And can I be Rose in my next life?

5.0 out of 5 stars A rich and satisfying book- much darker than the two preceding novels, 16 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book is unusual in that both the plot and the characters are totally engrossing. The story is complex, moving between the past and the present, and events are seen from different points of view; the police, the press and the estate. I particularly liked how the past haunts the present, for many characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant to have a middle aged heroine, 15 Jan. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
And even better to use a fact (middle aged people get sidelined) and spin a well thought out but wild plot from it. I was really gripped by wondering where the hell the story was going! Good characters and vivid locations. I want to read the first one now....

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and compulsive, 5 Jun. 2009
This is an excellent and inspirational book. It is beautifully presented and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The patterns are arranged by level of difficulty and the photos are bright and helpful.

What more can I say? If you want to knit or crochet flowers, this is your book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what it says on the tin, 5 Jun. 2009
This review is from: Religion For Dummies (Paperback)
I wanted a simple objective account of the religions of the world. What I got was very biased but perhaps I should have guessed by looking at the authors. It is also written in an irritatingly jokey style and glosses over any difficulties.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!, 19 April 2008
This review is from: Flower Hunters (Hardcover)
I loved the quirky people. Their obsessions and energies led to our gardens being what they are today. Amazing.
