5.0 out of 5 stars Overlooked, underrated......., 13 Jun. 2005
This review is from: Lettin Loose (Audio CD)
Quality album from a criminally ignored band. They never surpassed this gem of hard melodic rock though, and indeed had a dreaded Eurovision entry with a wimpy song called "Romeo" - pass the sick bucket. This still sounds great all these years later, and is a welcome replacement for my worn out vinyl copy. Hamie may look like a heavy metal Rod Stewart, but his voice is unique, and some of the melodies on this opus are unforgettable. Buy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not essential...., 13 Jun. 2005
Perhaps it's the rose-tinted spectacles, but I remember seeing this set being performed on a rock show on the telly in the UK years ago, and it was fantastic. Maybe the years have made me more cynical and I expect too much from something recorded in the '80s. Still very good songs and musicianship, but the production isn't the greatest. Phil Mogg still has this great voice, and Pete Way is still a loon. Long live UFO.
