Soaring, astonishing., 19 Aug. 2007
Keith Jarrett's music has many aspects - jazz ensemblist, interpreter of Bach, sophisticated "easy listening", and my favourite, the achingly beautiful extemporisations of the solo piano concerts. This album is like the latter, but with sonorous strings, and a predetermined score. None the less, the piano playing is as soaringly beautiful as the solo works. Astonishing music.
