i reckon jonathan meades would love it, say no more, 26 Feb. 2014
beautifully made, a great sense of solidity & weight - and that's just the stupendous remote. in a time when flimsy disposable cheap manufacturing is abound this wonderful hulking brutalist of a radio, an uncompromising, unapologetic beast cloaked in walnut stands as a beacon. everything about it suggests quality, from the design of the box it comes in, to the feel of the controls & buttons. most importantly the sound is superbly clear & rich. the reception is perfect & it was an absolute breeze to set up, the bluetooth took about three seconds to link to my laptop, & i'm utterly useless with technology. i was weighing up the revo against the ruark, which is clearly an excellent radio, but consider the revo to be an altogether more substantial unit, it just appears to have a greater presence. an absolutely terrific radio & a resplendent object.
