5.0 out of 5 stars Definitive, 7 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Overview of intensive, thorough, detailed research done previously. So much material uncovered that was hidden before, to make a very convincing presentation of an extremely dirty act, in many ways reflecting the machinations of CIA, FBI and Lydon Johnson in the political assassination of Jack Kennedy.

The Game (Mary Russell Mystery 7)
The Game (Mary Russell Mystery 7)
by Laurie R. King
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it., 24 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Everything Laurie R. King writes is very good, and some of it so superior that one knows to have encountered a major artist, one who can raise the level of consciousness, not an easy thing to do, and something very few care to attempt. This book is worth reading for sure, but it is not one of my favourites.

Notes from a Big Country
Notes from a Big Country
by Bill Bryson
Edition: Paperback

3.0 out of 5 stars Always insightful., 13 Feb. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bill Bryson is one of my favourites. He's funny, quirky, clever, does his research, knows his language, expresses himself so endearingly, and is a masterhand in humour besides covering the innane as well as the exalted. An extremely interesting man. But seeing the uniformitizing of America through his eyes has been a difficult read for me, as it will be for many. Still he says it as it is. His honesty very much appreciated.
