3.0 out of 5 stars Starts slow, then it's nice, then it's dull., 13 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When your main character sounds like a Transformers voice actor reject, it's hard to take this seriously. That said, it was fun levelling up for a while, as was that hippy pony portal. But once you reach a certain point it becomes extremely repetitive and the drops offer no upgrades rendering the whole thing pointless. I can only imagine the mega hype reviews are people that like replaying the same thing over and over using differing attributes, and don't have access to many other games.

This was the first game I ever traded in - I started with the Atari 2600 in the early 80s. Now the price is floating around £20, I would say that's a reasonable price point for many hours of play. Whether it's a title you'd ever come back to though, is a different matter.

And it's worth noting you can't do online play with PS3 owners either.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as seen, 13 Mar. 2016

These feel solid enough, and may well do a fine job over time. My gripe is that they look like they're several years old already, and have been in a tool box left to the elements. They're not shiny and clean like those in the photo. If I'm seeing spot corrosion now, what will I see later?

Monoprice Speaker Stand - Black (Set of 2)

3.0 out of 5 stars Could do with being 300mm taller, heavier, and handle bigger "rears", 13 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These stands are okay if you have a low sofa and tiny mouse size rear speakers. The rear plastic wire covers will fall off if you (or your cat) look at them from the wrong angle. I used to use Monoprice a lot when I lived in the US, which makes these somewhat more disappointing, as I cannot recall seeing rear speakers as tiddly as these are designed for.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a little system, 13 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you have a small sitting room, or want a gaming surround sound system, this does the job just fine. The sub was surprisingly deep and not woolly, as I was expecting. Despite the small speakers, the system fills a small room well enough, and it's balanced. The main pair of speakers are deceptively small, though. You'll will probably expect them to be physically deeper than they actually are, thanks to the angle/perspective of the photos. The amp will also handle music from your NAS - although the UI is crap; you'll probably want to use something else. There's a mobe/tablet "app" to control configuration, too.

As for installation, it's trivial; complete with a few lengths of cheapo bell-wire for the speakers. Each run uses different colours, making it a doddle to set up a full surround correctly despite being utterly incompetent with such things.

4.0 out of 5 stars Where did Fins go to?, 13 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My daughter's favourite snack (she spent her early years in the US). We had Fins here in the UK for a while, but I've not seen them on the shelves for over a year. Personally, I think the "xtra" cheddar ones are nicer. The price is mental, though. I'm sure we used to get the large 30oz box for $6 (£4).

5.0 out of 5 stars Cannot complain for the price - you need to remove the orange plastic bits before installing, 13 Mar. 2016

I've had this for a while now, and have experienced no problems or evaporating toner.

Once I realised I had to remove the orange tab thingies, it worked perfectly. The instructions weren't exactly clear.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy and cheap, 13 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I cannot believe what I received has so my top reviews. This £20 stand is more fitting to £3-5 junk from ASDA level stores. Here's why:

- It is made from extremely thin metal and feels like it's about to snap.

- The screw holes don't line up properly, telling us this simple device came through poor fabrication with negligible quality standards.

- The vertical posts bend at the slightest touch because they secure to the base via a very poor design limited to small screws. Throw a bath towel over this and you'll find the outer racks bend in just from the weight of the cloth. This means they will soon break from the base. If you look closely at the photo, you can see they're not even parallel.

It's also far smaller than it looks. The towels shown in the image must be hand towels or beer mats.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dull, lacklustre sound. How much is it without the badge?, 21 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Sold our pair after a few weeks and went with the connect instead. If you buy the play:5, you'll need a pair to ensure it doesn't sound horrible. The bass is woolly and lacks ooph, and a single unit sounds very flat. If you ramp up the volume, they sound quite boxy, too.

We also suffered many disconnection, despite one being hard wired with cat6 and the other less than five feet away.

The constant, and pointless updates are also a pain. Your UI on your phone or table may update, and then your system may be functionally crippled until everything goes through the motions. Sometimes it looks like you media library has been deleted, but it's just them being weird about versioning.

I like the idea, but they've a way to go to get it right, which probably won't happen. Every issue I found turned out to be a known problem, and had been that way for years. Before opening your purse of monies, read their forums, look at the complaints (and their dates), then make a decision.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful enough if people actually realise there's something to press, 21 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Sound very cheap, but loud enough to hear once you crank it up. There are various melodies, and you can assign different tunes to each ringer, so you know which door to go to. Which is useful.

Unfortunately there's something about the ringer people don't like. They don't seem to know you can press it, and end up banging on the door instead. We never had this issue with the old 80s ding-dong style button. The button need to be made more obvious. Seeing as the illumination isn't active when in wait-state, it's pretty pointless, so why not make the ringer look like a ringer?
