This is my favourite RE (and Gc)game I currently own. The game further expands on the origional story, telling how the T-Virus was created. The character zapping system works well, and makes the game a fair bit easier. The graphics are impresive to say the least, and the "real time" lighting really adds to the mood. A must for fans of the game.

Resident Evil has been given a REvamp. This is my second (to resident evil 0) favourite game for my GC. The first thing, if want want a game where you fight zombies, you will be dissapointed. Your enemies are a kind of parasite. The save system is different as well. The game is split into chapters, after each of which you can choose to save. The typewriters don't need ink ribbons anymore either. The main character is Leon Scott Kenedy (RE 2) who, as a secret agent, has been sent to rescue the preidents daughter (such an inovative story line, huh?) but winds up getting caught in this new RE adventure. A good buy for new players and veterans alike.

3.0 out of 5 stars Remake but not REmade, 14 July 2005
This was a bit of a dissapointment when I first saw it. As several other reviews have said, the graphics have not had much done to them. The gameplay and storyline still work, making this a good game for new-comers to the series to get aquanted to the older games. Still a good game, but I would've sooner waited for this to be given the face lift the original was given. In conclusion, I would only recomend this if you have NOT got a PS1.
