On the plus side: lots of fascinating data, lots of detailed, deep information and facts about the political and economic developments in China. On the minus side, an almost total lack of explanations, conclusions. Reads more like a recipe than a gastronomical review.
One of Jack London's best books cruelly savaged by this particular Amazon edition. Looks like Amazon tried to cram in the whole text in the smallest possible number of pages. Reads like a cheaply printed secondary school thesis. A bit like eating a fantastic meal while standing in a packed commuter train rushing at full speed on bumpy rails! If all Amazon published books are like this one, do yourself a huge favour: stay away!
