5.0 out of 5 stars Marv is Marvelous!, 23 Feb. 2008
I know that some people don't like 'greatest hits' albums for one reason or another. However this particular one is superb, it's a must have. All his best hits cramed onto two discs accompanied with some bonus live tracks and previously unrealeased recordings. For example 'Where are we Going' is execllent and speaks on so many different levels. 'The Very Best of Marvin Gaye' is perfect for any newcomers to his music, aswell as those who just wish to add to their Marvin Gaye collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Floyd at their Best !!!, 31 Oct. 2007
This review is from: Animals (Audio CD)
Pink Floyd's Animals is a superb blend of rocking guitar riffs and political commentary. Sheep, Dogs, and Pigs are the animals used to represent the western class system, hence the name of the album. Waters is heavily critical of this class divide due to its unfair distribution of wealth. Even with these political undertones 'Animals' is still a fantastic album. However, it is not one of these albums that is instantly likeable. You have to listen to it a few times to begin to appricate its brilliance. Furthermore, there is only 5 tracks on the album which may baffle poeple. Yes tracks 2, 3 and 4 are uncharacteristcally long, but it somehow all just seems to fit together perfectly. A very destinctive Pink Floyd sound. 'Animals' comes highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A superb debut album!, 5 Sept. 2007
This review is from: Think Before You Speak (Audio CD)
This is not just another run of the mill english band. Their social commentary is well executed, accompanied with great musical structure. For example 'Morden' conveys all of the aspects mentioned: a scathing attack on their 'beloved' hometown. Even if you don't like political bands or songs it doesn't matter because the songs and their lyrics are easy to listen to e.g 'We are not the Same'. 'Think before you speak' is an album I would reccomend to anyone!
