1.0 out of 5 stars Good idea but wait until Withings get the technology sorted, 27 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These scales, together with the O2 Pulse thingy, has to be one of the worst tech products I have ever encountered. The idea is great, the execution is dreadful. Not only is the information recorded by these products inaccurate, the communication set up necessary to make the scales talk to your phone, which in turn has to talk to the Internet a mess. If you do decide to give Withings a try make sure you don't purchase anything direct from Withings. Their terms and conditions only give you seven days to return an item and all packaging must be in perfect condition, which is nigh on impossible these days.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not made for walking, 5 Jun. 2010
My own mistake but all the positive reviews encouraged me to buy despite the low price. You get what you pay for I guess. Make no mistake if you are walking on rock or very rough ground these boots do not offer the level of grip and support you need to keep safe and comfortable. The experience is more like walking in wellington boots than hiking boots. Worse still the seems on both boots split between the sole and the upper first time out. Thank goodness for Amazon for a full refund.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solved!, 18 Dec. 2007
Even though I have a background in IT I could never get to grips with Photoshop, despite reading several other books on the subject before this one. This book is absolutely first rate and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get there best out of their photographs with Photoshop. At the time I bought this book there were no other reviews, regardless I went ahead and bought it anyway, based mainly on the strength of the description.

What is unique about this book is that it explains Photoshop from a photographer's perspective. If you have ever developed and printed photographs, or admired the great landscape photographers like Ansel Adams, you will feel immediately at home with this book. The examples are clear, the steps to explain and educate are well paced and logically presented.

If I have any criticism I would like to have seen a larger section on printing, but as the author explains this is a big subject in itself - so Rob, get cracking on a book on printing, I can assure you of at least one sale!
