Although this is no 'Mature B-boy', it is a very interesting and educational piece. What I like about this album is that it entroduced me to quite a few artists that I previously had no idea existed, and this is it's main strength. In an age dominated by innefectual 'club bangas', this acts as a reminder that at one stage, Hip Hop meant something.
Formats love of 'golden age' hip hop shines through here in a collection that should act as a starting point for any budding B-boy. There is little left out here, and could only be bettered by the addition of acts such as Gangstarr, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest.
This is a definate buy for anyone interested in the history of hip hop.
