5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant "Sequel" to a brilliant book., 21 Mar. 2014
This review is from: Metro 2034 (Hardcover)
(Sequel is in quotations because its doesn't follow on from the story in Metro 2033) After reading 2033 for the 4th time I didn't think much could beat its story and character(s), especially not it's sequel. I was completely wrong. 2034 is one of the best books I have ever read; it is very well written with characters I became attached to very quickly.
I pre-ordered the book and it was delivered on the day of release, and the next 5 hours were given to it entirely (it's not a short book, I just read quite quickly).
It's very emotional. We're 2033 concentrated on Artyoms journey through the metro, with a single motive and view, 2034 has two view points, Homer and Sasha, and is mainly driven by their emotions.
Fans of the horror/action type franchise that 2033 appealed to might not like this as much, but its definitely a book worth reading, and definitely one of the best post-apocalyptic stories out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good book to have, 7 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First things first, this is not a book you "read", anyone thinking so will be disappointed. However, it's definitely a book to have if you are a massive GRR Martin/GoT fan, as (like its says in the description) most of Tyrion's best and funniest quotes are in this book.
It's something to have in a collection along with the rest of the series, and something good to reference instead of skimming through one of the novels just for a nice quote.
