3.0 out of 5 stars Ranma 1/2, the final chapter...supposedly., 4 Jan. 2011
This review is from: ranma 1/2, volume 36 (Paperback)
Again, Amazon's usual excellent delivery service.
As for the product itself...
Without giving anything away, the usual mayhem and mishaps.
The usual near-misses and close calls.
But lack of resolution leaves it a disappointing close to an otherwise brilliant series.

2.0 out of 5 stars Last Air-Bender review, 4 Jan. 2011
This review is from: The Last Airbender [DVD] (DVD)
Product arrived surprisingly quickly given all the weather disruptions.
As for the film...
If you've followed the series & you're over 8 years old, don't bother with it.
It's an entertaining viewing for those with no knowledge of the characters or series.
I always wondered how they were going to cram 21 episodes into an hour and a half.
Poorly, apparently.
Too much butchering of a wonderful storyline/character/world.

4.0 out of 5 stars King of Sword and Sky, 4 May 2010
Firstly, I ordered this with the others in the series.
As per usual, I received it in tip top condition and speedily.
As for the story itself, I'm not gonna go into it too much as I think too many spoilers are put up but Damn Fine Story Line.
Engaging characters and intriguing plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Butterfly Brooch, 13 Jan. 2010
I am a total nut for butterflies and this brooch did not disappoint.
Gorgeously made and fabulous value for money.
It sits in all it's splendor on a greay sweater, Firetrap dress and totally makes the outfit.
Fast delivery, came neatly packaged.
A++

Bought this as a gift but it was a little smaller than I anticipated so I kept it for myself.
Goes nicely over a scarf or on the lapel of a coat/sweater.
Adds a little sparkle.
Speedy delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hairband, 13 Jan. 2010
Loved the item.
Super cute.
Sits really nicely in my hair.
Not too loose so for those of us with silky, fly-away hair it's perfect.
A****
Fast delivery too.

Not a bad read.
Quite an easy book to read, even if the pace was a little slow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, 30 Aug. 2005
This is vintage fantasy.
I've read this author's previous trilogy and it follows along a similar style, even if about different character's etc.
As a lover of classic literature and fantasy, this was the best possible amalgamation.
A small warning:- the language can be tricky, if you're not used to it.
But this was a poingnant, evocative story and I can't wait for the Well of Tears.

5.0 out of 5 stars I need more stars!!!, 24 Aug. 2004
Once again, Mr Salvatore rox the box with the next installment of Drizzt's adventures.
I quite literally could Not Put This Book Down.
Wulfgar's settling in, Cattie-brie has (to some extent quite annoyingly) realised that she needs to take the next few steps in her relationship with the big-hearted drow, but where's Drizzt?
Off with some surface elf, thinking eveyrone else is dead.
* Roll of eyes.*
Drizzt's heart is near to breaking in this volume. His belief that his friends are all dead has him reverting to the mentality of 'The Hunter', the primitive alter-ego that he had to become in order to survive his trials in the underdark in order to exact whatever revenge he can.
I only hope he gets it together with Cattie-Brie and that other surface elf (I forgot her name) buggers off cos if she steps in before he gets back together with the beautiful human will have me HURTING SOMEONE!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Samurai X, 24 Aug. 2004
This series is well worth it.
Kenshin is trying very hard not to kill anymore and so uses his fantastic reverse-blade katana to great effect.
His faithful friends of course accompany him where ever he goes, even when he tries to shake them!
Keep an eye out for the prequel's as well.
