1.0 out of 5 stars The shallowest and most boring film ever, 30 Aug. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Carol (Amazon Video)
The shallowest and most boring film ever! There is nothing interesting or remotely engaging. Two superficial characters with nothing to say (Actually they say nothing at all about anything). They are two insipid women in love, full stop. Today that is not enough to make a film.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful way to make Shakespeare accessible for all readers, 10 Oct. 2015

This is a wonderful way to make Shakespeare accessible for all readers. It has the old English version and after the lines the "translation" into contemporary English. Perfect for understanding the meaning of some cryptic phrases and metaphors we don't use today.

1.0 out of 5 stars A complete disappointment!, 30 Mar. 2014

This review is from: Archetypes (Kindle Edition)
I haven't found in this book any serious information or anything that has contributed to widen my knowledge about archetypes. It is a book of an overwhelming simple-mindedness almost childish and very disrespectful in the way it treats something so ancient and important as the archetypes. It follows the current fashion of treating everything lightly. The introduction is the only tolerable passage and reading it you may think something meaningful and serious is waiting for you in the next pages. Not at all. The transposition of archetypes is embarrassing. This lady has renamed the archetypes and has invented, supposedly to match our time, new "kinds of archetypes" so you find a list of ordinary and cheap names such as the fashionista! or the athlete! The level is for pre-schoolers and yet it would be a crime that the first contact with the archetypes would be this book. I can't think of anything useful a grown up can get from this book. But I am not very surprised, what sells today is the easy, the simple, the uncompromising. We are what we read so...

What Because? (Why You are an Artist and Why the World Needs Your Art)
What Because? (Why You are an Artist and Why the World Needs Your Art)

1.0 out of 5 stars A poor, childish and absurd... I can't say book, because it is just three lines..., 17 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I usually don't write bad reviews but after this "thing" I have just come across I have to spend some minutes and say that there exists already a platform for such superficial, short and childish comments or thoughts and it is called Facebook. If you want to say something that you think is important or interesting or thoughtful just do as everybody and bore your friends on Facebook. To pretend "this" is a book, art, or even helpful is outrageous and denotes that the "author" is either a child or a person with a wrong idea of his intellectual ability. It doesn't worth the pound it cost. This kind of self indulgent, guru-like and easy (barely 40 lines of absurdness) pamphlet justify its ridiculous content: the mistaken idea that everybody can be an artist.

5.0 out of 5 stars As every work of Ayn Rand, a must., 7 Jan. 2013

Ayn Rand is one of the most lucid and interesting thinkers of the XX century. Her works must be mandatory reading today more than ever. For those interested in literature and its mechanisms this book not only has very valuable teachings but a lot of inside clues about her philosophy.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most revealing and important books you'll read, 23 Mar. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The scholars have studied for centuries the meaning of the Eleusian Mysteries from a point of view that was far from being the correct. They tried to be systematic and scientific, therefore they pass over the most important questions. This book take a new an revealing perspective, not only about the Greek Mysteries but about all the religious practices of the past. When you read this book you discover one of the most important secrets of humanity, a secret that has been kept for almost 3000 years. This book hasn't had its time ye, as all the works and ideas really shocking, but I am sure that in the future this book will be one of the keys to help humanity to recover the true sense of religious experience. For me, the content of the book was enlightening and at the same time obvious. Professionally it helped me a lot to build my novel and personally contributed to the understanding of one of the most beautiful and best kept secrets of ancient Greece. Superb!
