Absolutely amazing insight into the world of real North Koreans, 28 Mar. 2012
I bought this book as I have a deep interest in North Korea, and I was very keen to find out more about the country and his secretive totalitarian regime, and this book did not disappoint.
The book isn't simply filled with facts and figures, but its content is from the author's interviews with six DPRK defectors, which makes the book feel much more human. I became attached to these people, and could not stop reading. You'll get sad and angry, but there are also moments of happiness which will uplift you.
This is an incredible book, which should not only be read by people interested in North Korea, but should be read by everyone, so they can learn about the awful things that have happened, and are in fact still happening.
