Salamandastron (Redwall)
Salamandastron (Redwall)
by Brian Jacques
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasic book from a fantastic author, 11 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My daughter adores this Redwall series and is doing music practice, homework and even housework in order to earn as many of the books as possible. Salamandastron is obviously just as good as the previous books earned as she has already started working for the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Beatles, 11 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: A Hard Day's Night (Audio CD)
The Beatles are not my favourite group because too many other groups and advertisers have overused their beautiful melodies; however, this album shows some of their best songs and is incredible. My young children cannot have enough of it and obviously the magical quartet are still the best for people of all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Supertramp is fantastic., 11 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This music, as I remember from when I was very young, has both the complexity and the simplicity of classical music although it rocks and rhymes with the best of modern pop music. Still one of the best bands ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Series, 11 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My daughter is enthralled by this series - and now my younger son and I are also amazed by Brian Jaques ability as we do night-time reading with the Redwall series. It is great. Old-fashioned morals and swashbuckling adventure set with believable animals in lives that praise the beauty of the natural world in clear, though often poetic, English.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story brilliantly read, 25 Oct. 2011
Stephen Fry, again, does an excellent job of presenting the almost believable world of J.K. Rowling. Although I have read the book a few times the audio gives extra depth that is a different experience.
My children also have been loving the audio, although the youngest is less able to follow it easily as it is a more adult experience than the earlier books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Advent, 24 Dec. 2010
Excellent for advent for a boy. Gave a smile every day and lots of good additions to playmobil toys already around - especially treasure chest, knights and their kit, horses, skeleton and dragon. Not as good for a girl when opened next to the playmobil Woodland advent calender full of cute animals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for the non-sporty kids, 29 July 2010
My kids are readers and not sporty at all. But since getting this trampoline they bounce 2-10 times a (holiday) day and even leave the TV for a quick 5 min break frequently. It's great fun for them (and me) and also provides a brilliant way to break the ice when the other kids friends are around. They didn't want me to put the net up - but now that they've got used to it they still love it lots and I've seen them "caught" by the net quite a few times!

5.0 out of 5 stars Accessible Biology, 21 Jan. 2010
Great little book. Many topics covered up well above the GCSE level but written in an easily understandable form. Very good layout and ideas for teaching.

Great book. Students with little Biology background can follow it and yet it has some high level and reliable data

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun stuff., 21 Jan. 2010
It's fun but not quite as good a story as the other borrower title that we got at the same time.
