1.0 out of 5 stars Great hardware. I can't connect to the website, 22 April 2015
Great hardware. I can't connect to the website, app or even get much response from the help. Not good enough so hoping a bad review will help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful approach to coaching supervision, 4 Aug. 2014
Length:: 0:59 Mins

I have enjoyed reading Jackie's book. Clean Language is a powerful coaching method and by using it in supervision, difficult and delicate issues can be explored. I like the models and want to practice what I've learned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Create a self-learning group who learn to manage themselves., 7 April 2014
Often when managers and leaders aren’t getting what they want they can blame themselves, their teams or the wider organisation. Each of these positions of blame holds someone or something in contempt and can lead to ingrained problem behaviour. In her book, "From Contempt to Curiosity", Caitlin offers “curiosity” as a systematic alternative to “contempt”. She shows you how to listen and create space for each voice in a team so that it can be heard and integrated. Her approach also trains the group to spot disruptive behaviours, attitudes and interactions and to name and explore them in-the-moment, turning problems quickly into learning, always keeping the higher purpose of the team clearly in mind. A leader who is able to lower their direct influence in a group and utilise diverse understanding, feedback and solutions of each member, is able to create a self-learning group who learn to manage themselves. I was delighted to read about this highly engaging, caring, realistic, fearless and powerful approach.

Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous layout, clear description, brilliant approach to coaching, 26 Nov. 2013
This book has a fabulous layout, with colourful, clear tables and diagrams.
Descriptions are clear and Clean Language coaching is thoroughly covered.
Clean Language is a brilliant approach to coaching where the coach builds up or models a representation of what's happening for the client. By minimising the use of assumptions and through great listening, the client is helped to understand the situation and his or her opportunities for change.

5.0 out of 5 stars What if you steps beyond what you think you know?, 30 Mar. 2012
I started off thinking it was simple, repetitive and later on thought it was deep and eye opening. It basically suggests the facilitator asks "What (else) do you know?" six times. Simple to say, but it's worth reading about how this is a repetitive, layered journey where new knowledge is encouraged, oftern of a different category that what came before. It can lead a client from tip of the tongue thoughts, to considered thoughts, to adamant defensiveness, to confusion and through to considerations and new knowledge. That's six steps, not what everybody always go through, but some sort of flavour of the journeys that might be available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent exercises by an excellent coach, 9 Mar. 2012
This review is from: DETAILS NOT FOUND [DVD] (DVD)
Caitlin is at the forefront of using Clean Language in business and in education. This DVD shows a workshop and a collection of exercises. This DVD shows a great way to start a meeting or coaching session. It has exercises that I have benefited from on how to work at your best or understand a negative state you don't want. It has helped me communicate feedback better by separating out different parts in order to make it be received clearly and in the best way. If you are interested these benefits and in Clean Language or coaching, buy this and they come to the Clean Conference.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but, 15 Sept. 2011
Easy navigation and a good range of stories and available as soon as I wake. Also, the kindle can read articles out to you as you multitask.
Today's $2bn UBS trader loss isn't mentioned though, so you miss even morning stories completely. Any chance of a mid-day update for key stories so we don't miss out?

The Art of Framing: Managing the Language of Leadership (J-B US non-Franchise Leadership)
The Art of Framing: Managing the Language of Leadership (J-B US non-Franchise Leadership)
Price: £20.64

4.0 out of 5 stars A great eye-opener about framing., 22 Aug. 2011
" 'Individuals believe they agree on what it means to be part of a family' yet the actual interpretations remain quite different. The attitudes of both "all forgiving" and "tough love" fall within the spectrum of the meanings for family."
I've picked this book up again having bought and read it years ago. The above quote typifies what I remember about it. Many eye-opening reminders that the language we use has unintended consequences if we use it loosely. To lead it helps to understand your audinece is a deep way. I'd like help to convert the ideas into practical situations, but the book has important messages I haven't seen in other books.
