5.0 out of 5 stars an awesome game, 15 Feb. 2006
My brother wanted to get this game for the 360 because we didnt have any games except halo. so we decider to get PGR3 and am I glad that we did. The graphical capabilities are amazing its like watching a cgi film. The handling is really good and cars are well put together cars like mclaren F1, cerbera speed twelve, and ferrari 288 gto evo.
There is a career mode which you can go through in 5 different diffculties, Novice, Easy, Medium, Hard, Hardcore completing the game in all difficulties will give you a lot of gamer points and i mean a lot. You can have a time trial on each lap which includes a ghost that goes round with you of your best lap on the track. Completing all tracks in this mode gives you a gamer score.
There is an abillity to make your own tracks to race on. There are four cities to make tracks for Tokyo, Las Vegas, New York and of course London. Tracks are really fun to make and try out. There is another course called Nurbungring (or however its spelt) which is the most challenging course in the game and longest. one track being seven minutes long.
There is also a photo mode to take pictures of your car passing famous landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, a load of skyscrapers in tokyo and new york, and an eiffel tower in Las Vegas! The quality of these photos is amazing and you can enjoy them yourself or show them off to a friend in slideshow.
Entering the garage is really the time when you see the full potential of the 360.The graphics of the garages are absolutly incredible and the detail is amazing. From the sun shining off your car to the "BREAK GLASS" on the fire alarm, it is so realistic. In every garage there are two arcade games "Geometry Wars" and "Geometry Wars 2" which could be 360 games themselves. They are really fun and you should really try them out.
Your character looks like Stig from Top Gear and the test track in Career mode where you try to beat your other cars is like the test track in Top Gear.
One thing is for sure if you want the next generation in gaming or if you just want a fun game to play with your mates. You must buy this game!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eric Nylund rules!, 13 July 2005
This review is from: Halo: First Strike (Paperback)
The best one of the three. Eric Nylund returns with his writing expertise to give us the 3rd in the series. It is brilliant it tells us how SGT Johnson survived, how masterchief got back to earth, and what mystery lies under Reach's surface.
Eric also gets us back into the place when you think you're actually there. Full marks to one of the best stories I have ever read. I only hope they make one based on halo 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will doesnt compare to Eric, 13 July 2005
The flood is an awesome book. Problem is it just isn't as good as the other two. Most likely to the fact that people who have played the game already know what's going to happen.
But to everyone this is an excellent insight to everything else that happened during the master chiefs escapade. Including the horrible fate of PVT Jenkins.
The characters are exactly like the original game characters.
Master chief, Cortana, Capt Keyes and of course SGT Johnson who is my favourite character in the first game. (Beaten only by the Arbiter in the second)
Overall 5 stars for a great adaptation on the already great story. But still isn't as good as the other two. Well done William.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best soundtrack ever!, 15 Jun. 2005
This review is from: Halo 2, Vol. 1 (Audio CD)
This album is amazing. The classical score from the game is there and also some new tracks. They are all great except the 2nd,3rd and 4th movement of the odyssey. They are terrible!
But they are made up for by the great score and the four other sung tracks, blow me away, follow, never surrender and connected which is my favourite.
Breaking Benjamin and Hoobastank are great bands. So dont get put off by other reviews. All the best tracks are there including the mjolner mix. So buy it you'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great prologue for a great story, 14 Jun. 2005
It was before Halo 2. Halo was still the hype of the XBOX. I loved the game, the sound, the stunning visuals. But what I most liked about it was the story. At the end you're asking all sorts of questions. Whats going to happen? What happened before?
This book answers the second question. It tells you all you need to know. How did the spartans start? Why did the covernant declare war? What happened to Reach?
Its great! Eric Nylund is a master. The descriptive dialogue is so good you can believe you're actually there. The characters are great. My favorite is Jacob Keyes (that is until SGT. Johnson comes along).
Fans of Halo, fans of science-fiction, fans of everything.
Everyone should love this book. So buy it or rent it. You won't regret it!

F1 World Grand Prix
F1 World Grand Prix

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit out of date but who cares?, 10 Jun. 2005
This review is from: F1 World Grand Prix (Video Game)
A great racing game. The tracks are identical to the real ones. Most of the drivers are gone now like Alesi,Berger,Hakkinen etc. But the Schumachers are there,Coulthard and Truli.
The controls are great, you can have manuel or automatic brakes. You can turn damage on and off as well.

There is Grand Prix mode which does exactly what it says on the tin. There is exebition mode when you can drive on any course like a free style. There is a mode when you go through scenarios of real events like taking control of Fretzen trying to hold off M.Schumacher in San Marino. There is 2p so you can race against a friend.
The graphics are blocky but it is for the N64 and it came out in 1997. If you've got a N64, BUY THIS GAME YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition (Xbox)
Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition (Xbox)

5.0 out of 5 stars a book of this game would be 20,000 pages long, 23 May 2005
What can I say? Incredible.
This game is massive, the attention to detail is great. From the massive mountains towering overhead to little creatures sleeping on the side of the road. There are hundreds of characters all with their own story.Who do you trust?
At the beginning of the game you get to choose what species you want to be,Redguard,Breton,Imperial,Orc,High Elf,Dark Elf,Wood Elf,Kajits(cat people)and Argonians(lizard people) all with their own special abillities.
A lot of people complain about some parts of the game for example the fact that you start off in 1st person. The thing is you can go to third person just not at the beginning. Because you hav'nt choson who you are how can you expect to see who you are? After the questionaire at the beginning press the right analogue stick and there you go.
Fighting is down to pressing the right trigger and hoping for a hit. No worrys! Go to the options, go to preferences and put the normal difficulty down this doesnt affect the enermies health but it makes it easier to hit them.
The game has hundreds of main quests and thousands of side quests. I was so into the free roaming it was six months before I did the first main quest. I still hav'nt completed this game but it is an epic already.
A warning! Not for younger gamers. I'm 14 and the dungeons in this game give me the shivers!!! Some of the monsters here are too scary for kids so parents dont play when their in the room.
The world is huge it would take you two or more hours to get from one side to the next. It is covered in lush grasslands, boggy swamps and volcanic waste. The island of morrowind is dominated by the massive volcano Red Mountain (original name). Where the evil Dagoth Ur lives and rumours wander the world of a Neverine? But who are they?. What is the secret behind the prophecies? Play the game and find out.
Cant wait for The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. For screen shots go to [...]
