4.0 out of 5 stars A Great WWE Judgment Day 2009 :), 10 July 2011

WWE Judgment Day 2009 Match Ratings:

1. CM Punk vs Umaga 4/5

Great one on one match up to get the pay-per-view off to a great start. I thought this match was going to a downer, but how wrong I was and both superstars had the right amount of domination in the match and in the end it was Umaga who delivered that vicious Samoan Spike for the victory over Punk.

2. Jack Swagger vs Christian (ECW Championship Match) 4/5

What can you say about this match, it was great and was even greater than the match that these two had at Backlash. Both Swagger and Christian gave a ***** performance and they both showed what the ECW Championship meant to them.

3. Shelton Benjamin vs John Morrison 4/5

Good little match with two of the best highflyers in the business and John Morrison does a great high flying rotational flip off the top rope onto Benjamin.

4. Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jericho (WWE Intercontinental Championship Match) 4/5

For me this was my match favourite as Chris Jericho had the opportunity at the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Both Mysterio and Jericho showed off their true talent in the ring and what the WWE Intercontinental Championship meant to both superstars.

5. Randy Orton vs Batista (WWE Championship Match) 4/5

I found this match rather enjoyable as it featured two of my favourite WWE superstars who were once part of a group called Evolution. Batista dominated the start of this match and then Orton had the opportunity to dominate Batista. The match itself was explosive and unfortunately it was Orton who got himself disqualified so that he could keep his WWE Championship. Though as Legacy were attacking Batista, we got a surprise of a legend making the come back e.g. Ric Flair to fight off Legacy.

6. Big Show vs John Cena 3/5

I have to admit a pretty decent match between the Big Show and John Cena, though Big Show did dominate at least a good 80% of this match with some hard shots and moves. But in the end it was Cena who managed to find a way of defeating the World's Largest Athlete :) for the victory.

7. Edge vs Jeff Hardy (World Heavyweight Championship Match) 4/5

Great match for the World Heavyweight Championship, which involves two superstars who know each other very well e.g. Jeff Hardy and Edge. It is a pretty much back and forth action match and as you can expect, some high flying moves performed by the one and only risk taker e.g. Jeff Hardy.

Overall this was a good pay-per-view for 2009 :) and I would recommend on getting it for the collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Del Rio is going to WrestleMania", 4 July 2011
I have to admit that this Royal Rumble 2011 pay-per-view has to be one of the favourites leading up to the ultimate spectacle known as WrestleMania.

WWE Royal Rumble 2011 Match Ratings:

1. Dolph Ziggler vs Edge (World Heavyweight Championship) 4/5

This was a great opening back and forth contest for the one and only World Heavyweight Championship. It was so good to see Dolph Ziggler getting an opportunity at the biggest prize known as the World Heavyweight Championship. Both superstars had a good amount of domination, but in the end it was Edge who reined supreme as he led himself to victory with a Spear and a 1-2-3 and still World Heavyweight Champion.

2. Randy Orton vs The Miz (WWE Championship) 4/5

This was a decent match for the WWE Championship, and again some decent back and forth action from both superstars who gave it their all. Would have liked to have seen Randy Orton winning this match, but a surprising Nexus and CM Punk got involved and The Miz got the 1-2-3 to retain his WWE Championship.

3. Eve Torres vs Natalya vs Michelle McCool vs Layla (WWE Diva's Championship) 3/5

Not a bad divas match to what people say and would put it down as one of those diva matches that was watchable and the winner of this match deserved to be WWE Diva's Champion. Eve Torres once again leaves as the new WWE Diva's Champion and she deserved, her prettiness and gorgeous smile makes this diva so special and she is just awesome.

4. The 40 Man Royal Rumble Match 5/5

For the first time ever, we get to witness a 40 Man Royal Rumble Match that featured a total of 20 superstars from both RAW and Smackdown, who's main goal was to headline WrestleMania 27 so that they could go up against a world champion of their choosing. This was just an amazing Royal Rumble Match with so many surprises including some shocking returns of the likes of Big Daddy Cool Diesel and Booker T. I would have never thought that my main man Alberto Del Rio was going to win this one, but how wrong I was when he eliminated Santino Marella to win the first ever 40 Man Royal Rumble Match and Alberto Del Rio is heading to the main event at WrestleMania 27.

Overall WWE Royal Rumble 2011 is a must have in the collection and now one of my favourite WWE pay-per-events that will for sure be spoken in years to come.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Bobby Lashley is your new ECW Champion", 23 Jun. 2011
Though the numerous amount of bad reviews for this pay-per-view, I have to admit that it was a great little pay-per-view to finish off the year with a good main event for the ECW Championship was going to be defended in the first ever Extreme Elimination Chamber.

The Extreme Elimination Chamber match for the ECW Championship was probably the best match of the night and it featured six of the top best superstars of ECW, which included a new comer by the name of Bobby Lashley. Each of the four chamber pods included a weapon which included the following.

1. Baseball Bat wrapped in Barbed Wire
2. Steel Chair
3. Crowbar
4. Table

The four selected weapons could only be used when a superstar was released from the pod that contained that weapon and all four superstars who were locked in with the weapons used them very well, including Test who brutalized the likes of RVD with the crowbar, leaving him a bloody mess.

The chamber itself was very much used with each single superstar feeling the wrath of the deadly chamber, including the Big Show who was thrown into the chain and a chamber pod by the massive Lashley who in the end came out on top by defeating the Big Show to become the new ECW Champion.

Overall ECW December to Dismember was a pretty good pay-per-view and to top it off, this DVD features six post match interviews from the six superstars who competed in the elimination chamber and you get a bonus match from ECW where Big Show tries to regain the ECW Championship against Bobby Lashley.

WWE No Way Out 2003 Match Ratings:

1. Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy 4/5

Have to be honest that even though this was the opening match, I would have to say that is was the best match of the night. As to expect plenty of good in ring wrestling and some great high flying jumps and kicks from Jeff Hardy, who in the end fell to the clutches of the Walls of Jericho, with no choice but to tap out.

2. RVD & Kane vs Lance Storm & William Regal (WWE World Tag Team Championship) 3/5

Nice little tag team match, with plenty of good tag team work by RVD & Kane who I thought were going to win this match, but sadly they didn't as Kane accidentally hit the Choke slam on his own tag team partner.

3. Billy Kidman vs Matt Hardy (WWE Cruiserweight Championship)3/5

Here we have a good match for the Cruiserweight Championship and have to say that the finish off a Twist of Fate off the turnbuckle was the eye catch moment of the match to see Matt Hardy becoming the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

4. Undertaker vs Big Show 3/5

Pretty good match between Taker & Big Show, with some good in ring and out ring action and in my opinion one of their better matches.

5. Chris Benoit & Brock Lesnar vs Team Angle 4/5

My second favourite match of the night with this being a really great match, with pretty much back and forth action from both teams.

6. Scott Steiner vs Triple H II (World Heavyweight Championship) 3/5

Not a bad match for the World Heavyweight Championship and have to say that it weren't bad for what people make it out to be as it was a rather enjoyable match between Big Poppa Pump & The Game.

7. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Eric Bischoff 3/5

Though this match was short, though in my opinion great to see Eric Bischoff getting his ass whooped by a man who hates him very much e.g. Stone Cold Steve Austin.

8. The Rock vs Hulk Hogan II 3/5

Not as good as the match they had at WrestleMania X8, but this match did have it's moments of being a decent main event. The ending was quite shocking as Mr McMahon screwed over Hogan, so that the Rock could pick up the victory.

WWE Backlash 2003 Match Ratings:

Team Angle vs Los Guererros (WWE Tag Team Championship Match) 3/5

Nice little opening match with Los Guererros being the team that should have won the match, though Team Angle didn't disappoint with some of their great tag team moves. Though Team Angle won the match, it was Los Guererros who left Backlash with their tag team gold.

Sean O'Haire with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs Rikishi 3/5

This was a pretty short match, though not that bad of a match with Rikishi giving it his all. Rikishi in my opinion should have won the match and a true highlight of this match was Rikishi hitting Piper with a coconut, only to be ambushed by Haire who hit Rikishi with his special for the win.

Rob Van Dam & Kane vs Dudley Boys (World Tag Team Championship Match) 3/5

Again nice little tag team match, with some good tag team action as to be expected. Both Van Dam and Kane performed very well in the match and the Dudleys also performed very well in the match. In the end it was Van Dam and Kane who remained the World Tag Team Champions.

Jazz with Theodore Long vs Trish Stratus (WWE Women's Championship Match) 3/5

Perfect kind of match involving two of the great WWE divas in the WWE. This kind of match and how it is done should be done today and this divas match is worth the watch and very interesting to see a divas match that can be entertaining.

Big Show vs Rey Mysterio 3/5

Though this was a pretty quick and short match, it didn't disappoint. Rey Mysterio was the man of the match when he hit three 619s to the Big Show, though Rey Mysterio fell wrath to the deadly chokeslam, which was performed by the Big Show, who then went onto win the match. Rey Mysterio was carried off onto a stretcher, though ambushed by the Big Show who picked up the stretcher and swung it round a ring post.

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar (WWE Championship Match) 4/5

Truely one of the best WWE Championship matches in the WWE, where we saw an early John Cena going up against the huge Brock Lesnar. Cena was really impressive in this match by pinning down Brock in some places of the match, though the match ended with Lesnar performing the deadly F5 on Cena to remain still the WWE Champion.

Chris Jericho, Ric Flair & Triple H vs Booker T, Shawn Michaels & Kevin Nash (Six-Man Tag Team Match) 4/5

A great and entertaining six-man tag team, with it being the first pay-per-view return match for Kevin Nash. This was a brutal match with back and forth action from both teams, with it ending with Triple H hitting Nash with the sledgehammer for the victory.

The Rock vs Goldberg 4/5

Match of the night and one of those matches that can be talked about in a thousand words, to describe how good this match really was. I mean who would have thought that The Rock and Goldberg would meet in the same ring, and to go at in front of an electrifying crowd who totally enjoyed the match with huge chants.

WWE Backlash 2003 is a great pay-per-view of 2003 and I recommend it all to you who loves the good ole times of the WWE and one match that I would recommend, would be the match between The Rock and Goldberg.

4.0 out of 5 stars Norman Wisdom in Press For Time, 8 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Press For Time [DVD] [1966] (DVD)
After Norman's success of the Early Bird, it was time for the second film, that was filmed in color called Press For Time.

I have to admit that is a good film and it does have it's moments of Norman making us all laugh with some of his comedy e.g. including a great funny scene of Norman's bike getting caught on the Major's chandelier.

This in my opinion is Norman Wisdom's best movie and it was the first movie I saw and it made me laugh from start to finish.

I have been a fan of Norman Wisdom for ages and have liked most of his films, that includes the Early Bird and would rank this has his number one film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eddie Murphy at his ultimate best, 3 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Coming To America [DVD] (DVD)
Eddie Murphy did some great movies in the eighties, with some examples including 48Hrs, Trading Places and Beverly Hills Cop.

Now it 1988 and Coming to America hits the screens to become an Eddie Murphy Classic, with a storyline that is easy to follow, followed by some great comedy and romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favourite Season Of Knight Rider, 3 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Knight Rider: Series 2 [DVD] (DVD)
After a very successful Knight Rider Season 1, we now come to Knight Rider Season 2.

I myself have to admit that my favourite episodes of the season has to be Goliath, Goliath Returns, Merchants of Death, Blind Spot, Big Iron, Soul Survivor, Ring of Fire and Knightmares etc.

A rather enjoyable and action packed season of Knight Rider.

3.0 out of 5 stars WWE Summerslam 2009, 2 Jun. 2011
1. Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler (WWE Intercontinental Championship) 3/5

Nice little opening match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship with Ziggler being the impressive superstar of the match. I mean he was totally dominating this match, though Mysterio did perform some nice high flying moves.

2. Jack Swagger vs MVP 2/5

Typical squash kind of match that was alright, but not what you call a pay-per-view match to be remembered.

3. Jeri-Show vs Cryme Tyme (WWE Unified Tag Team Championship) 3/5

Kind of liked the team of Chris Jericho and the Big Show and they did very well in this match, by destroying Cryme Tyme to retain their WWE Unified Tag Team Titles.

4. Kane vs Great Khali 2/5

Not much to say about this match as you can expect with a superstar like the Great Khali.

5. DX vs Legacy 4/5

Second best match of the night for me as this tag team match involved the return of DX to pay-per-view. Legacy though were impressive and they did dominate most of the match by wearing DX down. Though in the end DX got that little bit of payback that they wanted to deliver to Legacy.

6. John Cena vs Randy Orton (WWE Championship) 3/5

This WWE Championship match did get off to a great start and then towards the end it became silly. Orton firstly gets himself disqualified, then he gets himself counted out and then he gets found out for using the ropes to beat Cena. Possibly one of the disappointing matches of the night and especially for a match that involves Cena vs Orton.

7. Christian vs William Regal (ECW Championship) N/A

What a waste of time and pay-per-view time on putting on a match for the WWE Universe that lasts a matter of seconds. I mean Christian hits his finisher, wins the match and gets a beat down by Ezekiel Jackson, Vladimir Kozlov and William Regal.

8. CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy (TLC Match for World Heavyweight Championship) 4/5

Match of the night and certainly a match of 2009 that should be remembered. Perhaps one of the best tables, ladders and chairs match in the WWE. All three items were used in the match and especially tables and ladders with Jeff performing a high dive off a ladder onto CM Punk.

Though this night wasn't over as the Undertaker made his return and choke slammed CM Punk to the ground.
