4.0 out of 5 stars An aged different Sake with a unique taste, 2 Jan. 2015
This review is from: Akashi-Tai Genmai Aged Sake (Wine)
Having tried many different Sake bottles and enjoyed many and been disappointed by some i find this one to be unique and tasty. It doesn't have the almost fruit edge most sake do but more of a wooden edge to it that makes it a little heavier. Its not as crisp but its unique flavour makes it worth trying at least once.

5.0 out of 5 stars a truly great sequel, 18 Feb. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
the first gantz was an action pack extravaganza while this one was a slow starter
but when it gets going it gets going
it creates it own story that differs from the manga with the exception of the inclusion on vampires
and it has a sad ending that will truly touch your heart

1.0 out of 5 stars dear god what happened with this mess!, 30 Oct. 2011
This review is from: NCIS (PS3) (Video Game)
let me start off saying im a big NCIS fan.
this game though is a real let down, first of all only ducky and dinozo snr are the only ones who voice their own characters.
secondly the gameplay isnt even as good as the first csi game which its gameplay is based on, all you use is X and the left analogue for EVERYTHING!
the graphics are so so and we dont really get proper cutscenes, just graphics drawing for a lot of scenes.
the story has the odd bit of humour but not ncis episode quality so the shows writers who were suppose to have written this must not have been bothered.
the whole game takes about 2 hours to complete and has no other gameplay features and has no replay value, and you get every trophie including platinum for just completing the game.
so please dont waste your money, they've just crapped out the biggest FU to ncis fans in this game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nothing like amazon's description, 6 Jun. 2011

This review is from: Tokyo Gore School [DVD] (DVD)
first let me add whoever wrote the description on amazon hasnt seen the film
the main character is a popular guy who has the idea that there are only winners and losers in the world and that
winners crush the losers to remain winners. hes a bit of a douche really and a better runner then fighter.
the story is around him being chased by a group of kids before finding out about an underground school game.
it works like this, a lot of kid have all there info put online inc. pics and name and other details. they access it through their phones and can even trace where the others during the game time. the idea is to take the other players phones and email through them to acknowledge their capture to earn points which can be used to delete their own data bit by bit or traded for 10,000 yen per point. the reason they play: if your phone is captured you most intimate secret is revealed which to these kids
will crush their world. Overall a descent film with a great twist at the end, but dont expect gore the name doesnt represent the film, apart from a few mild seens there is no gore, which to be honest doesnt detract as there's no need for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Low budget but high grade, 2 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Here we have a Battle Royale inspired film about 11 criminals who wake up in an abandoned factory where they must play a game.
Included in the 11 are Big Mac a dine and dash specialist who despite being a big guy rund like the wind, Micro a young genuis hacker, Tall a Pachinko cheat, Ace a card master cheat, Oolong and Jasmine two illegal chinese immigrants, Jingi an archaic yakuza, prince a drag queen pic-pocket, coco an assasin with a love for coco channel products, fake who counterfeits landscape pictures but sucks at painting people (played by Battle Royale's psycho killer Kiriyama) and snake the leader of a civilian riot that recked Tokyo Tower in a battle with the police.

So the story is set in the future where a major gang boss called The Baron is shown to have brought the eleven together. The aim of the game is to reach his mansion within eleven hours and their reward is 300 million yen and expunged criminal records.
The rules are explained by a Battle Royale styled video girl who explians they have bracelets around their wrists that will inject them with poison if they try and remove them and that hunter will non lethal lasers will shot them and end their game if they get close enough. They are seperated into three teams and sent on their way but all is not as it seems when the hunter shoot with machine guns not lasers.

The film has several twists and is great fun to watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant film....Bloomers!, 2 May 2011

Ken'ichi Matsuyama always plays the weird characters well especially in this one.
He play as timid nice guy who moves from the country to the city for university in Japan, there he attempts his hand
at singing but despite his having a good voice his love songs are fancyfull and have silly lyrics.
Fastforward until after graduation and he knows play in a death metal band called DMC (Detroit Metal City) which is a
kiss inspired band where he wears face paint and sings songs about killing everyone. His personality drastically changed when the paint is on and he swears and doesnt hold back his words. But the big problem is he hates playing in the band and just wants to sing his silly love songs, unfortunetly his evil manageress and need for money keep him in the band.
The story throughout is of him trying to win the girl of his dreams despite her hating DMC and not knowing he is their main singer and his need to come to grips with being a death metal singer as he head towards a sing of with the death metal god (played by Gene Simmons)
A great film, very funny and with a great ending that will have you laughing your socks off!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first but still great!, 11 April 2011
A great sequel with an updated BR Act.
Tatsuya Fujiwara's Shuya Nanahara is now the leader of a terrorist group called the Wild Seven, who are manly comprised of BR survivors and orphans who want to see the world changed.
A new group of 42 fifteen year old school kids (who are from a deliquent school this time) are forced to take part in the BR Act 2 which entails them having to go to a remote island where they must kill Shuya Nanahara in 72 hours.
We see new faces including the Kitaro's (Beat Takashi's) daughter Shiori trying deal with her father's death, Takuma a very angry young man who is the new groups main character and Riki Takeuchi the new groups teacher whose family was killed by a
Wild Seven terrorist attack (played by the great man child like actor who is always great by the same name 'Riki Takeuchi')
A brilliant film that is highly underrated, and the extended edition as a little bit extra.
Lets hope they release a Blu Ray edition of this film like they've done with the first one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible and Violent Film, 11 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In this film we see an early role for the great Japenese actor Tatsuya Fujiwara.
A class of forty two fifteen year old students are redirected from a school trip to a remote island for the BR Act.
The Battle Royale Act is were the the kids must kill each other until only one is left and the winner gets to live.
Among the students are Tatsuya Fujiwara as Shuya Nanahara and orphan who one goal on the island is to protect his freind
Noriko after failing to protect his friend Nobu. There's Kawada a past game survivor whose dad was a doctor, cook and sailor. Mimura 'Third Man' who has a plan to escape, Sugimura whose looking for the girl he loves and his best friend, Souma a girl with serious issues who will kill anyone is anyway to win and Kiriyama a silent volunteer whose in it for the fun of it.
One of the great things about this film is Beat Takeshi as Kitano the school teacher who is in charge of the soldiers who
enforce the BR Act, he plays it darkly and creepily.
A brilliant film recommended to all, especially in special edition blu ray, as the picture quality is great and the extra
are a great bonus.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant and light hearted spin off to Death Note, 11 April 2011
In this spin off L centre stage as he lives his last 23 days.
This film is a lot lighter in nature then the Death Note films, in it L must stop a small terrorist group who want
to clense the world and save mother nature. L meets a young boy and girl who he must look after as he solves the case.
We see how akward L really is as he attempts to interact with people without Watara around and we see a fair amount of humour.
If you loved L in Death Note you'll enjoy this movie.
