Mizuno Fleece Winter Hat Mens Golf Beanie Royal Blue
Mizuno Fleece Winter Hat Mens Golf Beanie Royal Blue

5.0 out of 5 stars Very warm and comfortable, 13 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I found the hat a bit bigger than I thought, but very warm, soft and comfortable. Definitely very useful when the temperature goes down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful, even if not exactly sexy, 7 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The covers aren't particularly good looking, especially compared to your brand new irons, but they do their job. Since they are elastic they'll likely fit any iron, including the bulkier GI and SGI irons.

Mizuno Men's Drylite Flat Knit Laser Golf Shirt - Royal Blue, Medium

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, 7 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's a very good quality polo t-shirt, brilliant color and reasonably priced. Definitely suggested, and not necessarily for golfers only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great headphones, 7 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this headphones after a series of bad cheap purchases, and lengthy searches on the web. They didn't disappoint.
The build quality is perfect, and the sound quality great for different type of music and even TV listening.
If you consider them, just keep in mind they are not portable. They are huge, heavy and with a thick and long cable; but they are a great buy as home headphones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap ergonomic keyboard, 7 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this keyboard in an attempt to fight RSI pain caused by the Apple Wireless Keyboard. I couldn't understand from reviews what was the best ergonomic keyboard, so I decided to try a cheap one first, and see what happens.
Surprisingly, after a few months, my hands have greatly improved. The keyboard is simple and soft, and does the job.
Annoyingly it has all the Windows keys, which make things complicated on the Mac, but you can't expect anything else from a Microsoft keyboard! However, if you want a cheap keyboard that will not hurt your hands, that's a good one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising quality, 7 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was positively surprised by the quality. I don't think it's genuine leather as the title says, but for five quids, I didn't really expected that. However the flip case looks nice, the magnet is strong enough to keep it closed even when the phone falls down... what else can you ask for?

CTOs at Work

2.0 out of 5 stars Hardly useful, 25 Mar. 2013
This review is from: CTOs at Work (Paperback)
This book has little to offer to who's looking for insights on the CTO job in modern internet companies.
First of all, more than a third of the CTO interviewed comes from big government contractors: hardly significant examples of typical CTOs-at-work. In all the other cases, all that interviews seem to highlight are the importance of cloud technologies, security and mobile devices in our businesses. There's really anything else?
What I was hoping to find was interviews of really forward-looking CTOs (the likes who run IT in Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, ..), but what you get here are just some very obvious observations on the current IT market.

Thinking, Fast and Slow
Thinking, Fast and Slow

2.0 out of 5 stars Way overrated, 9 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The book main concept is easy to grasp: every single human being has two ways of thinking; System I, the intuitive mind, and System II, the reasoning mind. System I is responsible for many psychological phenomena, like bias, anchoring and plain old errors. What follows are 500 pages of boring details and experiments, which add little to no value to the reader.

3.0 out of 5 stars Many interesting points, extremely verbose, 23 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's a pity the author totally lacks the gift of conciseness; half of the book is an hardly useful, verbose and boring exposition of a few concepts.
The other half presents, on the other side, many interesting points; as the other reviewers, I also have found myself highlighting many pages.
All in all, that's an interesting book, just prepare yourself to be patient with the boring parts, or even skip a few chapters that don't add anything to the book.

Introduction to Sociology - Understanding the Society
Introduction to Sociology - Understanding the Society
Price: £3.01

2.0 out of 5 stars Some interesting parts, but badly written, 14 Feb. 2013
The book looks like a series of notes taken during sociology lessons, and it probably is exactly that.
On the plus side, it actually covers many of the fundamentals themes and topics of sociology, and it's a good starting point to choose what to study more in details; on the other side, it's so poorly written that it becomes annoying. Sentences without verbs or punctuation, grammar mistakes and typos are all over the place. Also, for some reasons, it's very focused on Pakistan and Pakistani society, so that many examples are not really familiar to the average english/american reader.
