Real Herbs Odorless Garlic Capsules - 6,000 Mg of Pure Odorless Garlic - Boosts Immune Function & Promotes Heart Health
Real Herbs Odorless Garlic Capsules - 6,000 Mg of Pure Odorless Garlic - Boosts Immune Function & Promotes Heart Health

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended, 5 Jan. 2016
This is a great product that I would buy again. I feel better and my digestion has improved. I recently had a cold but recovered from it faster than anyone else I know who's had the same bug.

Although there is a mild garlic taste when you go to swallow the capsule, thereafter there is no taste, 'repeating' or breath odour.

I received this product at a discount in return for an honest review.

1.0 out of 5 stars A great disservice to a classic novel and to readers, 5 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Agnes Grey (Paperback)
This is a great novel. I would like to review the book itself.

Although product dimensions are given for everything on Amazon, who thinks to check the dimensions of a paperback novel? Thus I was shocked to receive a non-standard-format book, which doesn't fit comfortably on the shelves with all my other books. Not only was it a bizarre size, it was also one of the most shoddily produced books I've ever seen: no page numbers, unjustified page design, cramped tiny type.

The first paragraph in this book is an introduction to the publisher, Krill Press, and this is followed immediately by the main text, without so much as a line break - most odd.

I can't help remembering that Wordsworth Editions used to produce cheap classics much better and at a lower price - they were about £2 in the 1990s.

Very happy with these, they fit well (I'm an 8 so the 8-10 would be small on a 10). Nice soft cotton and the cuffed ankles keep the trouser legs in place. Great winter buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear, glowing skin, 10 Dec. 2015
A lovely product, my skin really appreciates it. It is pleasant to use, light and easily absorbed, leaving no 'heavy' feeling residue which you sometimes get with creams.
Note that the pretty packaging is just a wrap around a plain cardboard box (see photo) - be aware if you are thinking of buying as a gift. The bottle is gorgeous, however, in frosted glass, and the oil is a lovely tawny colour. It doesn't have much scent though, just a subtle woody aroma.
My skin is glowing and menopausal spots I was getting seem to have cleared up since I started using it.
I got this oil at the promotional price of £1 for reviewers.

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointed, 18 Dec. 2014

I have not used this as I bought it as a gift. I was disappointed to find the packaging had poor English on it, which always makes a product seem cheap.

4.0 out of 5 stars A novel of many twists, 13 April 2013
It is impossible to summarise the plot without giving away crucial information and ruining it for new readers. Suffice to say that this book put me in the unique situation of rooting simultaneously for both a criminal and the detective hunting them.

Detective Camille Verhoeven is a sympathetic character, who deals with his own demons as he wades through this bizarrest of cases. Sometimes this slows the pace a little, but it's worthwhile, to give us a fully fleshed personality.

The book is divided into three parts, and there is essentially a different villain for each one, so the book plays with your sympathies in an unusual way, and keeps you guessing all along. There are many twists, but the final one is the best, and it is not entirely clear whether the detective himself has got to the truth, but as he says: `What's important is not truth -- it's justice, right?'

Highly recommended.

The Rosie Project
The Rosie Project
by Graeme Simsion
Edition: Hardcover

3.0 out of 5 stars Endearing but improbable romcom plot, 9 April 2013
This review is from: The Rosie Project (Hardcover)
This novel is immediately engaging, immensely readable and pacy, but did not always ring true.

The endearingly odd narrator is Don, who has undiagnosed Asperger's syndrome. But he is not always convincing, especially as the story approaches its climax and Don makes radical changes to his appearance, routines and behaviour without significant difficulty. As a highly intelligent man, his inability to diagnose himself until late in the book, despite doing some research into Asperger's in connection with his work, is very improbable.

He embarks on a project to find himself a partner, and ends up drawn to Rosie, who does not seem remotely suitable. She is looking for her genetic father, and Don decides to help her. Their quest takes them from Australia to New York, and although their (occasionally crazy) adventures are fun to follow, the book increasingly betrays its roots in a romcom screenplay. This is particularly so at the climactic declaration of love, which combines with the dramatic resolution of the father question. The final scene, of happy marriage and great new jobs, is too pat.

A lot of fun, but it's really a light-hearted movie masquerading as a novel.
