1.0 out of 5 stars How not to write a book, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've got to say, this was one of the worst books i've ever had the misfortune to read. The premise is good (humans that can turn into Dragons) but the execution of the story was dreadful. The characters are one dimensional, the fights are repetitive, the plot gets less believable (in the context of the book itself) and at the end of the first book of the trilogy i actually had to stop reading to prevent an annuarism! Please avoid!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vicseral action adventure, 11 Jun. 2014

Gemmell, Abercrombie, Weeks - all great authors and Anthony Ryan isn't out of place amongst them. A great book packed with so much action, but doesn't skimp on storyline either. Can't wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story Telling, 11 Jun. 2014

Genuine action, adventure, intrigue - couldn't put it down. Believable charachters that you actually give a damn about that grow in front of your eyes.

Might & Magic IX
Might & Magic IX

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been better!, 8 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Might & Magic IX (Video Game)
If you're a fan of elder scrolls and similar games then i would suggest...you buy elder scrolls! this game is often frustration mixed with occasions of enjoyable sword waving. I like the fact that its turn based but not the fact that you spend half your time meandering around trying to figure out what to do next. i'm all for open non linear games but not a fan of the situation - travelled for half an hour to get to a village, quest is to go BACK to where you've come from and speak to someone!
