1.0 out of 5 stars Interferes with wireless mice, 1 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I am not a fan, let's be honest. The "leg" design is very poor (i had to throw the leg away and blutack the unit to my desk) and it interferes with my wireless mouse (MS 5000). Once a card is in the reader (only tested with sd cards) the mouse starts stuttering and becomes pretty much useless. Take the card out and the mouse it back and happy. This is so annoying that I don't use this reader any more and have had to go back to an old usb2 reader I had for years. Oh, and it isn't unlikely that my pc is the problem (i7-3930k, asus sabertooth x79, 32GB ram, win7, latest drivers).

In summary, if you have a wireless mouse like mine you may find this reader worse then useless. Of course, ymmv but why risk it? shame really since SanDisk usually do good kit.

The Principles of Product Development Flow: Second Generation Lean Product Development
The Principles of Product Development Flow: Second Generation Lean Product Development

5.0 out of 5 stars The missing "why does it work?" manual, 18 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Principles of Product Development Flow is a remarkable book. It presents in clear and simple language some very interesting and important principles that underpin lean, kanban, project scheduling and, yes, agile.

We all "know" that short releases cycles, quick feedback, prioritised feature sets etc all make sense but do we all know why that is the case? We all "know" how to manage full queues but do we all know that alternatives exists and that they could perhaps help with managing the flow of the delivery stream even better? What about critical chain project management? Why does it work? How about Theory of Constraints? Is it as good as some people think? This book covers it all. Everything you wanted to know about, well, product development flow but were afraid to ask.

Product looks great on paper and the other reviews are good. sadly my experience was poor. while the device itself looks well made, the cable simple fell out of the plug. hard to believe, i know. i never got to even try it. shame. got a plantronics bluetooth device instead and it works like a charm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, 21 Dec. 2008
I had this device since it came out and it is very very good. After updating the buggy firmware, it has been permanently on for over a year now and I have not had any problems with it at all. I use it as a media server and for backing up my PCs. Latest firmware adds jumbo frames and given that it comes with gigabit ether it is fast! In fact, the speed is only limited by disks. Also, given that it runs Linux, you can really customize it. Mine now also runs an Apache web server, a MySQL db server + a bunch of other services my network needs. It was easy to set up and i love it. Could not recommend it more.

All you wanted to know about REPOs but were afraid to ask. If you have been thrown into the REPOs and need a good single reference - this is the book for you. If you are working towards ACI diploma - this is the book for you. In fact, if you are in treasuries - this is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful and very good, 1 Aug. 2001
You know a finance book is a good one when you see seasoned professionals keeping it on their shelves next to Hull (the derivatives book). Although very straight forward and deceptively simple, this book is probably all you need as a reference for your day-to-day calculations (and Hull will fill in for the rest). I have one at work and one at home. You should too!
