5.0 out of 5 stars To make it stick, first moisten the suction pad..., 8 Feb. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First moisten the suction pad. Then, with the hook in the horizontal position, press it on to the tile. Then lower the hook & press it down creating the suction for the pad to grip the tile.

If you don't moisten the suction pad first, it will fall off.

Grip on tile easily strong enough to hold the weight of a wet face cloth.

4.0 out of 5 stars one grey, two pink & two blue, 7 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I agree with everything the review headed "Just what you need!" says except that the folders I received were in only 3 different colours, i.e. one grey, two pink & two blue. (It did not matter to me as I was buying on price and quality. So I did not send them back for refund/replacement.)

5.0 out of 5 stars It's cheap & it works!, 19 Feb. 2014

My wife says "This a sprayer, not a mister. You can adjust the nozzle to give a spray or a single jet. I have been using it now for five weeks. It is cheap, works perfectly and is ideal for spraying my mushroom growing kits!"

1.0 out of 5 stars liked but it soon broke, 22 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Used daily for nearly two months. Only difficulty was that the spring action was a little strong, required pressure & care opening the ball without hold slipping, flinging the used tea leaves out into the air.

Then, after nearly two months, the arms of the spring came off the ball part of the infuser rendering it useless. If I could be sure that it would last longer, I would buy another.

3.0 out of 5 stars hard to know which, if any, hat fits - no size dimensions given, 26 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I ordered a 'large' hat, which I thought would be more than big enough for me. It wasn't.

There is a 'Sizing info' link next to the size selection menu. Clicking on it opened a pop up, which gave a lot of information about sizes for trousers, shirts, etc., but nothing for hats. So I had to guess which size would fit me. I thought 'large' would be larger than I needed.

When I received the hat it was too small for my head. The label inside the hat indicated that it is for a 59cm circumference head.

I sent it back. It fitted in a post box slot, so no need to queue at the post office. But I had to pay postage.

It was replaced by an 'Extra large' hat, with a 60 cm dimension: a tight fit, liable to come off in windy weather, but it will do. The quality of the hat is fine.

One of the other reviewers "ordered the small and it says 56.5 cm on the label." My 'large' was 59cm. My 'extra large' was 60cm. No larger sizes are available. Other manufacturers sizes can go up to XXXL.

Wikipedia (though it says "the various 'standard sizes' vary from maker to maker and style to style") does have a table of hat sizes. Wikipedia's 'small' and 'extra large' are slightly smaller than 'small' and 'extra large' Highlander Premium Sun Hats.

Why, oh why aren't the actual dimensions of the various Highlander Premium Hat sizes in centimeters given?

2.0 out of 5 stars we ordered a Kidde extinguisher - we received a Fireblitz one, 25 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We ordered this Kidde fire extinguisher as it has good reviews from buyers who had actually received the Kidde product, & Kidde is a well known manufacturer, 'the world's largest manufacturer of fire safety products.'

I noted several previous reviewers had found that what they received was not in fact a Kidde product but I assumed, wrongly, that that such a problem would have been fixed. It has not been.

What we received was a '1Kg ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher with Bracket' made by a 5-yr old Kent company called Fireblitz.

Their product is for sale on amazon under its true identity (at a higher price!). It has no reviews. But, checking out Fireblitz, it does seem they make reliable products. It is the sort of extinguisher we wanted. So we decided to keep it.

Insight Flexi Map: St Petersburg
Insight Flexi Map: St Petersburg

5.0 out of 5 stars best map for exploring the city centre, 20 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Spending four days exploring St Petersburg for the first time, we found this, of the several maps we had, the most useful

The laminated finish to the paper makes it both easy fold and robust - not likely to tear at the crease. It folds to 9"x4", fitting easily into a 4+" wide inside jacket pocket.

The main map is extremly good for walking around the centre of the city. Easily pulled out of pocket. Despite being detailed, very easy to read. All streets, big & small, & any place of any tourist interest, clearly marked & named.

5.0 out of 5 stars there is an Index, 12 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There is a alphabetical list of the books in the collection with links so that you can click through to the book you want. It is not obvious where the list is. The book by default opens at the first item in the collection ('American Notes' as the collection is arranged alphabetically). If you click on the 'previous page' button on this page, it takes you straight to the last page of the list of books. If instead on the menu you select 'Go to..', and then 'Cover', and then, when the cover of the book is displayed, click the 'next page' button, this will take you straight to the first page of the list. The books are listed alphabetically over five pages. Clicking on the one you want, and 'follow link', will take you straight to that book's first page.

A complete collection of all Dickens works in one place at a low price is a delight. The collection is searchable in the usual Kindle way. So, even if you do not know the name of the book but you remember the name of, for example, a character in it, you can find the book you want easily.

3.0 out of 5 stars not a book for the casual sightseer in flipflops, 7 Jun. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Nice/3 (Walk and Eat) (Paperback)
This is not a guide to easy strolls round the sights of the city centre for the casual tourist. Click on 'click to LOOK INSIDE.' Then search 'inside this book' for 'rucksack.' This will give you the link to lead you to page 9 of the book's introduction describing the sort of walks they have in mind for their readers. The opportunities for the serious hiker in walking boots in and around Nice are surprisingly good!
