1.0 out of 5 stars washed up dad rock watered down so much it makes fosters lager taste like special brew, 25 Nov. 2011
This review is from: I'm With You (Audio CD)
Right, I'll keep this short and sweet. Back when these cats put out Blood Sugar Sex magic, they were on to something..Fast, tight with just the right sprinkling of funk to avoid falling into the Suicidal Tendencies godawful 'infectious grooves' style slapbassathon..If you dont know who Suicidal Tendencies are you really should buy this record. With each new effort from this lot they get worse and worse..I KNOW of this thing called 'progression' and the need to keep evolving and developing a sound thats fresh exciting and cool..but seriously..this SUCKS people. Wheres the energy? passion? its devoid of everything and anything that very briefly made this band something a bit different..something Faith No More brilliantly mocked them constantly about.

I dont deny the talent, chad smith/flea a killer rhythm section thatd make most highly envious. But thats where the praise ends..and that is exactly my problem with this band..with THAT much talent youd expect something a bit better than this steaming pile of dad rock. Sure, you can say "well they've made their millions and dont have to please anyone" sure, in that case: GIVE UP!

WORST album of the year? Well, Metallica/Lou Reeds brown nugget may take that crown.

all in all: a shocking example of how talent and cash destroy a career of sincerity. I would give this zero stars but amazon wont let me.

to all those hipster cliches hating this review, do yourself a favour and if you MUST buy a RHCP record get yourself Blood Sugar Sex Magic, listen to it and then come back to this review.

1.0 out of 5 stars watered down more than Dutch Lager insincere style over substance, 29 Nov. 2009
This review is from: Folie A Deux (Audio CD)
Pathetic watered down rubbish on a grand scale. Pop Punk is about jawbreaker, lifetime, face to face and hot water music.. admittedly not really a pop punk band but in that vein. Why do people worship this band? Style over substance watered down throwaway music that youll forget about when the new fad emerges. Please don't buy this. Buy Jawbreakers 24 hour revenge therapy instead.. it will change your life.. or at best change your opinion on what pop punk actually is. i cant give this zero stars as it wont let me

1.0 out of 5 stars for idiots and chavs only, 28 Nov. 2009
COMING TO A CHARITY SHOP BARGAIN BIN NEAR YOU! its the talentless arrogant middle of the road mediocre peddling idiot known as Robbie Williams. Yet more overblown over produced style over substance rubbish we've come to expect from this moron. Why do people buy this? I personally think anyone that thinks 'angels' is a good song should be shot. Not what you'd call a take that fan by any stretch but at least they had energy and melody.. this guy disowned them because he wanted to be 'cool' and not playing embarrassing music.. erm.. pot calling kettle black i think!

1.0 out of 5 stars pointless and an utter waste of money, 28 Nov. 2009
This review is from: I Dreamed a Dream (Audio CD)
WHY..WHY WHY do people buy such utter insincere piles of rubbish as this? Im guessing people that want no musical stimulation whatsoever...Or people that watch ITV and X Factor. For fans of boybands, girlbands, robbie williams and anyone who cannot think for themselves. If you're reading this then you're probably considering buying it: you're an idiot. If you're stupid enough to buy such crap at this go ahead its your money
