I'd moved on from The Clash when this was released in 1980. Well silly me, it is a wonderful messy sprawl of an album highlighting The Clash at their most stoned and poppy. This CD version is also a beautiful thing, softpack cigarette package of 3 cds like the triple album. BARGAIN!

5.0 out of 5 stars 80s Lou, 26 May 2011
This review is from: Original Album Classics (Audio CD)
Excellent and timely box set of Lou Reed's 1980s albums (apart form New York). Now the 80s are cool again the shiny production on New Sensations sounds totally relevant, with pops dark humorist knocking em out on the likes of 'High in the City' this album's even better than on it's initial release. Legendary Hearts is Lou's lost masterpiece, more focused than New York and coming on like an aural Woody Allen movie. So Lou let's things slide on Mistrial but it's worth the ride, and Blue Mask is up there with Berlin, Women is one of his most beautiful songs. I'd forgotten about these albums, don't you! there's a revelation in waiting here.
