Lee Filters FHWAAR77C Wide-Angle Adapter Ring 77 mm Diameter Black

If you are using the Lee filter system, you need adapter rings like this one to attach the filter holder to your lens. The adapter ring is well made and the machining on the thread is accurate so it fits on to the lens' filter thread easily. That said, it's very expensive for what it is.

The North York Moors: A Walking Guide (Cicerone British Walking)
The North York Moors: A Walking Guide (Cicerone British Walking)

Cicerone guides are well established. This is smallish but quite thick guide containing 50 walks from the easy to quite challenging. Each walk is clearly set out with start point, OS route map insert in 1.25k detail and where to get some refreshments on the walk. There are plenty of photographs too.

The only quibble I have about Cicerone guides is there size. They've gone for a modest width and height which is great but it means the guide is quite thick and a tad on the heavy side so you wouldn't want to be carrying it for long in your hand whilst you're looking for way point directions. I also have misgivings that the spine will stand the test of time. As I use a GPS device, I download walks and leave the guide at home which is a bit self defeating.

Pathfinder North York Moors (Pathfinder Guide)
Pathfinder North York Moors (Pathfinder Guide)
by Crimson Publishing
Edition: Paperback
Price: £11.38

5.0 out of 5 stars Britain's Best Loved Walking Guides, 12 May 2016

Contains 28 walks ranked in easy, intermediate and demanding with photographs - around 1hr, 3hrs and up to 5hrs. Walks are well set out with good clear directions for walkers who aren't confident following a map trail. There is also a 1.25k map insert of each walk as well. Information on how long the walk will take, where to park and, most importantly, where to rest weary feet and have some refreshment. Pathfinder guides are rugged and well made, so won't fall apart easily. Pages are made of a waterproof material so won't get wet and soggy if you're caught in a shower. I really like the size too - it's taller rather than wide and not too thick - just about perfect for an outside stretchy pocket on a rucksack.

I do a lot of walking and have a large collection of walking guides. On the front of Pathfinder guides, there's a logo saying 'Britain's best loved walking guides'. I can see why.

Hoya 77mm HD Digital Protector Screw-in Filter

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps your camera lens' front element protected, 29 April 2016

In the days of film negative a UV filter protected the camera lens against damage as well as cutting out UV light. Modern digital cameras don't need UV protection but it's still a good idea to protect your lens. Hoya's HD protector does the job and is not prone to smearing from finger prints.

Hoya HD range have a deserved reputation for quality. The HD range are less prone to smearing and easier to clean when you inevitably get finger prints on them.

Lowepro 100 S&F Filter Pouch - Black
Lowepro 100 S&F Filter Pouch - Black
Price: £25.00

4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonably priced filter pouch, 29 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good quality filter pouch. Space inside expands quite generously once opened, so it's easy to sort through the various slots to find the slide you're looking for. The only small drawback is the cover which doesn't fit over the sides as deeply as it should. It's not big deal though.
