5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for, 22 Dec. 2011
This book is great. I'm a complete novice and wanted to be able to make my own cleansers, toners, moisturisers, specialist treatments, i.e. face masks, beaute gels, balms, serums and facial oils, this book covers them all.

The recipes in this book are a great way to start making your own products at a fraction of the cost (after the initial outlay). There is lots of information on using essential oils, floral waters, base oils, butters, waxes and specialist ingredients.

I can't recommend this book enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great book!, 30 Aug. 2011
This is a great book, it gives you step by step instructions with photos. Different sections for different techniques, from making simple taper candles to outdoor candles. The only thing missing is if you are interested in scenting your candles and methods. It does touch on scenting a candle but not in any depth. Otherwise a great book for inspiration!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for beginners, 30 Aug. 2011
I have only just started candle making and this is a great book to get you started. It has clear instructions on "how to" and the equipment and materials you will need. Shows you how to make pillar, taper candles, etc. and different ways to colour them and different effects, it goes on to modelling floating wax candles. Has some nice photos too.
