5.0 out of 5 stars well made but chose size carefully, 28 May 2013
Well made.I'm editing the review to say they are still good after 4 years. I use them to extend a pro loop neck strap (also still good ) into a cross chest sling. As you need to use both straps to keep the pad central I did wonder if op techs lengths are for the pair or for each strap. Its each strap. At their shortest adjustment an xl pair adds about 21 inches length.Im quite large (6ft - 16 stone -224 lb) so I bought x long. I normally have to keep the xl extensions at their minimum length, with the main straps adjusters at about 50%.Not much range to go shorter, but plenty to go longer for winter clothing, failed diet etc. There is not much overlap between the lengths. Had I bought the standard length I would need them at maximum length, leaving just the 50% on the main strap for going any larger. If you are smaller than me standard should be ok,if bigger consider the xl. I could probably manage with either size. Or get both. You'll probably find use for the other set, if only as packing straps.

5.0 out of 5 stars very comfortable, 28 May 2013
Really does reduce the apparent weight of heavy equipment.Very comfortable. The large neoprene pad is good quality foam, cleverly shaped, and the over strap is stretchy. The pad is just stamped out from nylon faced neoprene. The edges are not bound. It looks a bit 'mickey mouse-mat' initially but it hasnt frayed, separated or perished so far so its not really a problem. Its bulkier than a standard strap which can cause problems in a small camera bag until you think laterally -unclip the pad and wrap it round a lens as extra padding! You can clip the loops together to make a minimalist hand strap. Highly recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars so clear its uncanny., 1 Oct. 2012

You may think us daft but add me to the ranks of those who's first thought was `nice slim frame,a pity they forgot to fit any glass'. So remarkably clear and reflection free I only saw the glass when a speck of dust landed on it. I will never buy a cheapo filter again. Don't hesitate, buy one!

5.0 out of 5 stars The quality is clear, 8 Sept. 2012

Like other reviewers I though they had sent one with no glass. We are not being daft. It really is so clear it has to be seen to be believed ,or not seen in this case. Cheapo filters are lumps of window glass compared to this. The frame is slim. Dont hesitate .You will not regret the extra cost. It may even cost less than a mediocre UV filter. Has anyone written a book "101 things to do with a cheap filter"?(drinks coaster, water colour paint palette, etc)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good price and performance, 18 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Compact and the swivel cap cant be lost. Comes with a lot of pre installed kingston software which might be useful to some but I found intrusive.I simply deleted it.Fast enough for my needs, and good value. Has a flashing LED when transferring data, which is handy when copying large video files from my pvr.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works on Sony A65, 4 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Charges on the sony charger and is recognised by the sony A65 camera, which displays a percentage charge remaining.I havent used the sony original battery or this spare enough yet to fully compare their performance but its looking good so far. A good spare battery at a fraction of the price of a sony original.
Update after a year of use.The battery lasts a similar time to the sony original before it needs recharging and holds its charge well when not in use.The 'percentage remaining' meter reading is reasonably accurate except the last few percent drop more rapidly than on the original, giving a bit less warning that it is about to expire.Still recommended

Belkin Wireless N150 Modem Router ADSL (BT Line)

4.0 out of 5 stars good for price.drops off occasionally, 28 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is my first wireless router, which are deceptively complex little beasties .Perhaps not so for youngsters but I can remember when the hole in a desk was for the ink well, not cabling! The pre installed settings for major isp's made things fairly quick and easy to set up and secure.I soon had the desktop computer hard wired and a net book and wii sharing the broadband connection on wi fi.(wii's can stream BBC I-player).
Wi fi does drop off occasionally and requires a re-boot by briefly unplugging the power cable. A bit of a nuisance, but I'm prepared to tolerate it for the price. I understand that downloading new firmware and adjusting various advanced settings may cure the problem.I havent felt the need to try this yet. Range is no problem in my 1920's built house.
Security seems quite impressive, although its possible that those only connecting hard wired computers might overlook that it will also be immediately running an unsecured wi fi hot spot by default and forget to set a security password or disable wi fi.

UPDATE.30/11/2014. My review was for a device with similar name, but completely different appearence. Mine is upright. (and still going strong. It seldom drops off now). Somehow my review has been moved to this horizontal design, and no longer valid. I will leave the review in place as a warning that reviews do not always relate to the exact product featured.

5.0 out of 5 stars yet another 5 star review-because its worth it!, 27 Oct. 2011

If your dish is already installed but slightly out of alignment it is very quick and easy to get it perfect using this device. Just turn the dish side to side until you get the optimum buzzing and highest possible reading on the meter and then do the same again tilting the dish up and down. The device is so sensitive that as dish accuracy improves readings will go off the scale .You then need to reduce the sensitivity of the meter using the dial to keep the readings within range for very fine tuning. Its simple and obvious in use. A new installation or a dish thats well out of alignment may require some patience. You need to know the approximate alignments of your chosen satelitte. On full sensitivity the device will buzz even if not locked on a satelitte.Turn down the sensitivity until the buzzing just stops and then adjust the dish until it starts buzzing again and the meter shows a steady reading. you have found a satelitte. Check on your tv that it is the correct satelitte then fine tune as above. If you are accurate with this meter there is no need for a second person monitoring the tv display.I've just done a new installation and it took about 20 minutes.

3.0 out of 5 stars good in their price range, 22 Jun. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you are determined to buy a low cost 50mm spotting scope this is the one to go for. It is quite well made and the optics are better than most in the price range. Not bad up to 30x, not great at 45x. You will need a tripod. You will find it satifactory right up to the moment you first look through a top quality scope.
HOWEVER - should you buy a low cost 50mm spotting scope at all?
1)Archery target spotting etc -yes
2)Travel scope- yes, its light and compact and cheap enough for holidays or to have knocking about in the car for occassional use with its handy window mount.
3)Serious Bird and wildlife spotting -probably no. You will be better putting the money towards good quality binoculars.(ones costing more than this ) if you already have good quality binoculars you wont find this size and quality of scope much of an improvement.

5.0 out of 5 stars economical way watch and record digital tv on a computer, 22 Jun. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Why didnt I get one before? I can run mine on the tiny supplied aerial. I am 3 miles 100 yards from the transmitter as the 'google earth' flies.I can virtually see the transmitter with just a tree in the way.I get 69 channels on the supplied Blazetv software and interestingly 89 channels using Windows Media player, so it must be a software issue. Basically if you need to use an amplified or roof top aerial on your home tv you will probably need one for this device -or any other make.Only problem so far is my fairly old computer doesnt always 'see' the device first time on start up.I'm not sure if the device or the computer is at fault(or me). This is no big deal except I cant hibernate the computer before a recording. Blazetv will wake the computer on schedule but if it doesnt 'see 'the device it wont be able to record. On the whole well worth the money.
