4.0 out of 5 stars Great app!, 6 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a great app, with lots of word searches that will take you hours to complete. The only reason why it gets four stars and not five is because you get only a small number of retries that run out very quickly. Unless if you don't mind waiting a long time before getting your lives back, then you will have to pay to get more goes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very realistic racing game!, 19 Dec. 2010
I thought I was good at racing games, until I tried this game. It is not like other racing games, where cars handle similarly, each car handles very differently, so you have to be accustomed to each car's handling. The game is very fast, and you really have to SLOW DOWN AT CORNERS, you cannot play it like Need for speed.

The flashback system works very well for novices, giving you a chance to take the wrong turn again, and not mess it up.

Online is actually alright, there are actually people who race online, you can learn a lot from just watching people play online too if you manage to wipe out :D.

Graphics are very nice, runs very well even on my outdated computer (Pentium D Dual core 3GHz, 3GB ram, Win XP, 8800 GTS 320MB) on 1280 X 1024. No lag or anything as long as AA is low.

This would have gotten perfect stars, if it wasn't for the fact that when you get the game, it runs with a few problems that stop it from playing, so you have to play detective, to find out what is wrong, and fix it yourself before playing. It really does get annoying when in PC gaming, you pay for not only playing the game, but to fix it as well.

With that aside, very good racer, best experience, great graphics, plenty to do, Formula one, drifting battle and Derby racing if you want a bit of variety from the car racing. Any racing fan should add this to their collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very solid game!, 22 Nov. 2010
This game is very frequently compared to CoD, but they both are two separate games, but they both have a similar style.

Let me start with the single player, full of action, satisfying and you can squeeze a few hours out of it before the multi-player which is good. I didn't buy the game for the single-player though.

The multi-player is very fun. Many people play the game, so it is lively, ranking systems is similar to CoD, you unlock weapons, upgrade specialisations, rank up and all sorts. Plenty of game modes to choose from, the multi-player never gets dry, it is thought out well, the maps are very good. Multi-player is similar to CoD, except it is more vehicle based, kills aren't so easy, tactics are a must, running without teammates will get you killed.

The mechanics for the game are superb. All buildings are destructible, all walls are destructible, all trees are destructible. Sniping will mean you have to judge distance very well, since the bullet takes it's time to travel long distances, and with the rocket launchers, gravity over time will pull down the missile, so judging distance is a must.

I think it is a very good game, the only problem I have with this is straight out of the box, there was an issue with dialog audio, settings were turned up max, yet only faint sound was heard during cut scenes, this was easily fixed, so not a big deal.

A worthy purchase for the first-person shooter fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very worthy purchase!, 16 Nov. 2010
I just finished the story for this game, and it has been a great experience. Eidos really did pull out all the stops on this one.

First the graphics, Arkham Island looks outstanding, the atmosphere, the level of detail, the physx engine works really well here, things really do look good. The individual fibers on Batman's suit, to the joker's expressions, the level of detail on every person's face. Throughout the game, Batman's costume gets torn up in parts, lodged bullets in others and cuts on his face.

The combat, also is very good. Thugs don't just stand around waiting to get beaten up, they actually do attack, they pick up objects and throw them sometimes, some thugs have knives, some have guns, and in combat if a gun cabinet is nearby, or a weapon, expect a thug to try and take out that weapon and use it on you. The combat is very free flowing and realistic. Countering is also a big part of the game in combat, and upgrades mean you can use some tools as a bit of strategy in combat if that is how you roll (personally, I've always just gone in with fists, and only if I have to, will use strategy). You can chain together big combos which will ultimately mean powerful strikes on the thugs.

The game has actually got a detective element to it, although it isn't very challenging, but it still is nice to see a bit of deviation from just combat. What is challenging is the amount of collectibles there is. Riddler's challenge's are challenging, there are lots to get, it will keep you occupied finishing his challenges, the trophies are spread throughout arkham, if you like collecting you will love this. Not to mention more interview tapes, character trophies and bios to collect throughout arkham.

When you complete story, there is challenge mode to sink your teeth into, which squeezes out that little bit more play and gives you something to work on when you finished. All the challenges have to be unlocked through story mode.

I always wanted this game since release, but Computer problems stopped me from doing so. The game runs well on my intel core 2 duo 3GHz x2, with 2GB ram, and an 8800 GTS 320MB. The game in general is excellent, I recommend anyone who likes beating up games, as well as collecting games to pick this up, it really is a good game, many people feel the same way, so you know what to do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Product!, 12 Jun. 2009
24G of protein in each scoop, as well as 120 cals per scoop. No more than about 7 ingredients went into the powder. It tastes nice, and gained 7lb in about 4 weeks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good game!, 25 Jan. 2009
Really good game, story is lengthy, there are a lot of modes to choose from to keep you occupied. 4 difficulties to play the game in.

Graphically, it is stunning, on the most high-tech machines every texture to shadow to detail will blow you away. Wide range of guns, weapons. Big bad akrids to fight. Vital Suits are thrown in too (Lost Planet's version of mechs). Some epic boss fights.

The only thing is sometimes the bosses are as thick as a rock. They will stand still for about 3 seconds, then move to attack you. They even stand still with their weak spot exposed. But it isnt for people who are looking for a strategy shooter. More of an arcade (you might even say brainless at times) shooter.

Online is really fun. Teams of a maximum of 8 battle it out in many different modes (Elimination, Countergrab, Akrid Egg battle, Akrid Hunter) and i think about 3 more. Weapons sounds realistic, animations are good, characters dont get an unbalanced speed boost like in a lot of games.

A very solid arcade/brainless shooter that truly shines in its multiplayer. quite a few people play so you wont be left in the lobby searching for a game. X-platform. Eye-popping visuals, and just great fun, how it should be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely great graphics card for the price!, 2 Dec. 2008
I am a keen PC gamer, and I wasn't too sure whether to upgrade my current PC or buy a new one. Its easier to lose sight of what you already have, so I just wanted to cherish the PC i already have and buy a graphics card upgrade. I used to have a GeForce 7900GS, which was a superb card which came with my pc at the time (almost 3 years ago). But due to extreme overheating problems, and lagg, it was finally time to look at a new one.

At 16, I would say I am slightly more different to other people my age that I would usually hang around with, in the sense that I can pretty much identify all the parts in a PC, and i more so play my PC rather than Xbox 360.

So I found this card. I wasn't too sure it would fit the case and the power supply, but another review assured others that it will work with a dell 9150. Now i am pleased to say that all my games are pretty much lagg - free. It is much easier to play with this card, since there is an instant improvement. Loading times in games have been reduced, and the quality of all games are perfect.

The card is very BIG. The size that they said. But if you stack 2 DVD cases on top of eachother that is roughly the height of the card.

The card is obviously not 'the best of the best', but if you are looking for a worthy upgrade for gaming at a cheaper price, then you are looking at an extremely good competitor. It can be used in SLI mode, and it has a ball-fan for the upper-part and an exhaust fan on the bottom part for better cooling. The card is also really quiet (sometimes i think it aint even running). And if that isn't enough to satisfy, it even comes with a Free-game: Company of Heroes!

All in all, a great gaming card, but even better because of the price. Will beat any other card in that price range!

My PC Specs: Dell 9150 with 375 Watt standard power supply, 2GBRAM, 320GB SATA hard drive, Intel core 2 duo 3GHz processors, and now an XFX GeForce 8800GTS!

5.0 out of 5 stars First, and best PC control pad I've ever had!, 24 Oct. 2008
First and foremost, this is an excellent controller for the price. It works perfectly. So far, not a single in-game glitch, the rubber on the hand-grips and the analogue sticks are extremely comfortable, and it is got the same design layout as the PS2, although it is not exactly the same.

Even if you lose the disc, no biggie! The computer automatically detects the controller, and enables its use. The disc is only for calibrating the controls in games and behaviour of the controller in more detail.

It doesn't come with vibration - But not to worry. It has served its purpose for 2 years, yet it is still in peak condition (it can easily survive a few drops, or a bit of punishment).

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun game, let down by poor framerates!, 30 Sept. 2008
This is no doubt an excellent game. It is worthy of this, because people who love tactical action, fast paced, along with good graphics, then this game is for you.

But the main problem why I marked it down to 3 stars, was because of the poor framerates. I would typically get between 15-20 frames per second. Toning the graphics to low doesn't make any noticable difference. I can typically run Crysis on medium settings, and get about 20 frames per second. I can also run Bioshock with full graphics settings, and get 25-40 frames.

I know my PC isn't exactly the best in the business, but it is good enough to play some of the latest games, and it should be able to crunch through this game with ease, but it seems as though it is a game issue that makes it acquire such a poor fps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, and effective!, 28 Sept. 2008
Since im not really a computer wiz, I did think it would be a complex task to set this one up. Little did i know that it would be the easiest thing i could place internally into my system.

Mine didnt come with instructions. I bought it because my video card has overheating problems. Now i know, my card is screwed no matter what i do, do its just worth buying another one. Nevertheless, a very handy item, and will reduce temps of your system by at least 5 degrees. The fan is quite, can't even hear it over my CPU fan or video card fan. It is quite powerful for its size too.

A good buy for anyone wanting to reduce the temps on their system by a few degrees!
