Gardening & Planting by the Moon 2013
Gardening & Planting by the Moon 2013

2.0 out of 5 stars THE ACTUAL 'LUNAR CALENDAR' FONT TOO SMALL TO READ, 10 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I buy this book every year. The first section is fascinating,(& highly recommended) but my main reason for purchasing is for the day by day lunar calendar - which is 80% into the book.
The Lunar Calendar in the 2013 edition is far too small for me to read - & the Kindle 'Aa' font size change option will not alter this section of the book......which means - the Lunar Calendar is of no use to me unless I also carry a magnifying glass around!
I do wear glasses for reading, but my sight isn't THAT bad!
I would be interested to see other peoples feedback on this issue.
The 2012 issue of the book didn't use the tiny, fancy font - that is impossible to enlarge - so maybe the publishers will take note?

5.0 out of 5 stars Birkenhead Dockers are now guarenteed a place in history., 23 Jun. 2011
This book is not really about the man who wrote it. The man who lived & breathed life on Birkenhead Docks from 1954 until his arrest in 1975.
What Len Burnett does is capture a time & place that has passed into history, but he recalls it with truth & humour for the men he worked alongsaide.

This book is a social history with gritty humour. The endless lists of hysterical nick-names, and the reasons for them are worth reading aloud. Any audience with an appreciation of four letter words will laugh & ask for more!

Here is a time capsule worth buying, reading & sharing. A reminder of the way things were when physical labour, poor & dangerous conditions prevailed. The Birkenhead Dockers are now guarenteed a place in history. It came as no surprise that laws were broken.

Don't dither. Buy this book. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in true life stories. Authenticity oozes here.

The Truth Agenda: Making Sense of Unexplained Mysteries, Global Cover-ups and Prophecies for Our Times
The Truth Agenda: Making Sense of Unexplained Mysteries, Global Cover-ups and Prophecies for Our Times

5.0 out of 5 stars Dare to look beyond what you have been led to believe?, 7 Sept. 2009
Anyone who has ever questioned the unquestionable - with an open & hopefully balanced mind - searching for truth.......yet been left silently feeling out of sync with the majority ......... must read this book!

Covering subjects as diverse as Crop Circle Formations; 9/11; The moon Landings; The Green Dilemma; UFO reports/investigations, the 2012 expectations......(to list but a few)......are bang up to date, as at the end on summer 2009.

Many people already question why global cover ups & conspiracies dominate our world, but answers can be difficult to find & even harder to swallow. Andy Thomas does not shirk this issue, in fact he opens doors to illuminate the power of collective thought & positive action, giving a glimpse of a future where truth & love win over fear & predudice.

Mr.Thomas had painstakingly researched so many subjects with such thoroughness & close attention to detail, that the reader could easily have become blinded by the sheer volume of evidence. However, the way the book it set out makes it easy to read, in stages, or to delve into at will, picking a specific subject in isolation. Whichever way you choose, 'The Truth Agenda' is surely destined to become a 21st century classic. One that sits well with Geoff Stray's 'Beyond 2012:Catastrophie or Ecstasy'.

Supurbly illustrated & with a binding built to sustain much thumbing & abuse.

£12.95 it is worth every penny.
