5.0 out of 5 stars An alltime classic favourite, 9 Nov. 2010

I couldn't resist this entire series - from the first episode I was hooked.

Adorable old world settings, costumes, storyline and as for the characters, they soon become family members that you want to spend an hour two with each day; be it in Larkrise or Candleford. Loved every single episode and have watched all three series with great relish and some restraint (which weekened as i became further submereged into the series)...totally addictive and good for your mental health!!

I actually first came upon this little gem on the shelves of my local library. So taken with it that I then purchased it for two friends for X-mas gifts. It's kind of a quirky yet intriguing story which is superbly acted by (guess what?) superb actors. Definitely one to watch with a female relative and a good glass of your favourite tipple!! Jo

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what it says on the tin, 12 April 2010

Had heard a couple of the tracks on radio and was interested enough to make a purchase but really there was nothing remarkable about this cd apart from the obvious talents of Miss Elizabeth who plays so many of the instruments on it. Alright for backround bread making music ;0)
